UniVerse Collectable Surprise Unicorns – Review

27th February 2020 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

UniVerse Packets

Gifted – We were sent 4 UniVerse packs for the purpose of this review, but all thoughts and opinions are our own.

Little Miss is a huge fan of blind bag collectable toys and anything unicorn, combine the two like UniVerse have and you have an almost combustible with excitment little girl who cannot wait to see what it inside. From the word go these were going to be a big hit. UniVerse is super cute cloud emoji inspired packages which have multiple surprises inside. Aimed at ages 5 plus, these are fun, can be a bit messy, but adorable.

UniVerse Pillow

Inside each packet are the cloud pillow and instruction leaflet. Take our your cloud and make sure you read through the instructions. I think it does need a bit of adult supervision, to be honest. It is fun, but it can be messy as I said.

Dissolving UniVerse Cloud

Get a bowl, towel and some warm water. We used a medium-sized bowl filled with warm water. The more water you use the easier it dissolves and if the water is warm is dissolves quicker. Not necessary to be warm though. Place your surprise cloud in the bowl and watch the magic happen.

UniVerse Colour Change

We did this on the kitchen table with a towel under it. Make sure it’s done somewhere that any water spillage can be cleaned up easily. As your surprise cloud begins to dissolve, the water changes colour to show you where your magical UniVerse creature will come from. There are different coloured sections on the leaflet to help you determine where it is from.

Slimey

The water will start to become a bit slimy. Kids just love slime, don’t they? Are you can see Little Miss was loving playing with the slimy water. The surprise cloud completely dissolves leaving behind a sealed packed. Remove the packet and I cut this open with scissors to reveal the 4 blind bags inside.

UniVerse Blind Bags

I like how the blind bags are protected from the slime and water via the outside packet.

UniVerse Opening Bags

Onto the fun bit opening the blind bags and seeing what UniVerse Unicorn friend you get.

UniVerse Accessories

Inside the pack are 4 rainbow and cloud bags which contain a unicorn, accessory, bio-card and unicorn toot or tear to match the UniVerse unicorn.

Rainbow UniVerse

There are over forty different UniVerse unicorns to collect, with different features from colour-changing, liquid-filled, scented, fun-hair, glow-in-the-dark, translucent, metallic and fuzzy unicorns to collect.

UniVerse Hair

The ones with long hair are very cool. Meet Dilly Dolly Dotty. Isn’t she fun?

Unboxed UniVerse

The different types of accessories are great and the fact you can mix and match them with the different UniVerse unicorns makes them so versatile and great for collecting.

Scratching Off UniVerse

Inside one of the blind bags, is a special scratch‐off unicorn bio card. You can use your unicorn’s hoof, horn or a coin to reveal and learn about your UniVerse friend’s likes, dislikes, favourite foods and rarity level.

Different Kinds UniVerse

Plus a collector poster to show you all the different unicorns you can collect.

Love UniVerse

The fabulous UniVerse Unicorns live across seven different whimsical lands in UniVerse. These include Funtasyland, Sweet Treats Landing, Nummy bay, Superstar city, Pet- Partypeak, Mist-Terious-Land and Glam-a-GanzaLand.

UniVerse Toys

We are big fans of UniVerse and think the idea is great fun. Kids love slime and the mess they make, but after that, they are cute collectables that can be played with time and time again. The fact they are interchangeable adds to the fun. We would recommend adult supervision when dissolving the clouds and they are not suitable to anyone under 5 years old due to the small parts. Prices between £5-£10 they are good value for money and available at all good toy retailers. Do check out UniVerse Collectible Surprise Unicorns for the full range.
