Frozen Inspired Crafts For Kids

Frozen Inspired Crafts for Kids

I think there is something special about a homemade gift. The thought, the effort and the act that has gone into making a gift for someone make it extra special. The kids and I have come up with a few gifts we made that we can give to someone this Christmas for this month’s Tots 100 #BostickBlogger craft. Let me know what you think of them.

Frozen Inspired Crafts For Kids – Paper Snowflake

Snowflake Items

What you’ll need:-

  • Bostik Glitter Glue
  • White Paper
  • Scissors

Fold Paper for Snowflake

Step 1

Fold the top part of the paper down to make a square for the snowflake.

Fold up the bottom part Snowflake

Step 2

Fold up the bottom part of the paper up to cut that section off. This is extra.

Cut into a square snowflake

Step 3

When you cut the bottom section off you will have a perfect square.

Fold in half again snowflake

Step 4

Fold your square piece of paper twice so it is a smaller square.

Draw on snowflake to cut

Step 5

Have the folded sections of the square to the bottom before you begin to cut our your snowflake.

Cut out Snowflake

Step 6

Cut out how you want your snowflake design. Make sure you keep the folded edges to the bottom so they don’t get cut.

Unfold Snowflake

Step 7

Unfold your snowflake and it will look similar to the above. Remember every snowflake is unique.

Decorate Snowflake

Step 8

Why not add a bit of sparkle to your snowflake. We used the Bostik Glitter Glue. They are the mess-free way to use glitter.

Add decoration

Step 9

Aren’t those pens fab? It’s up to you how you want to design the pattern. We gave a few of these a go, but this one was our favourite.

Snowflake

Step 10

Hang them up and you can make as many as you like. They will look great on the window.

Hang up Snowflake

We love Bostik Foam Pads to hang up our decorations. Having the double-sided stickers means they stick well and they hold fast. What do you think of our snowflake?

Cut Paper in half

Step 1

Start with a square piece of paper and cut it in half.

Fold the paper into three. You will have two long rectangles.

Fold paper underneath

Step 3

Fold the top bit underneath like above.

Fold the top over

Step 4

Fold the bottom in the opposite direction.

Fold up into triangle

Step 5

Fold the top and bottom section so that it looks like above.

Fold both paper to be the same

Step 6

Do this to both pieces of paper. You have them looking like above.

Put two together

Step 7

Place your two folded pieces of paper on top of each other in a criss-cross style.

Fold in

Step 8

Fold the bottom section into the middle.

Fold and hold

Keep folding them over until you have all the triangles in the middle.

Folded Snowflake

Step 10

Once all folded it will look like above. You will need to hold it or it might pop open.

Turn Folded Snowflake Over

Tuen the folded snowflake over.

Bostik Glue

Step 12

We found it easier to use a small amount of Bostik PVA Glue to secure.

Folded Snowflake

Step 13

Here we have our folded snowflake. You can use any colour or decorated paper you wish.

Folded Star Hanging

Our folded Snowflake looks great hung up and we used the Bostik Foam Pads to hold in place. What colour would you make?

Frozen Inspired Crafts For Kids – 3D Snowflake

3D Snowflake Items

What You’ll Need:-

  • Bostik PVA Glue
  • Bostik Foam Pads
  • Decorated paper, coloured paper or white paper
  • Scissors

Paper to be folded

Step 1

Cut your square of paper into four smaller squares.

Fold over the paper

Step 2

Take one of the squares and fold in half.

Fold into a smaller triangle

Step 3

Fold the square over again to make a small rectangle. Have it so that the folded part is to the bottom.

Two cuts

Step 4

Put two slits from the folded section up. Don’t cut all the way up.

Open out square

Step 5

When you open the square out, it will look like above.

Stick middle section together

Step 6

This part is a little tricky. Fold the middle slit over and glue with Bostik PVA Glue. I used closed scissors in the middle to hold this to glue.

Turn Over and Stick

Step 7

Turn the square over and glue the next slits together.

Fold and glue the other side

Step 8

Turn is over for the third time and glues the last two bits together. It will look like above.

Create six of the snowflake petals

Step 9

Repeat steps 1-8 at least 6 times. You should have quite a few to stick together to build your 3d snowflake.

Glue the sides together

Step 10

Stick the individual, folded squares together.

Add the snowflake together

Step 11

Stick each side of the snowflake to the next one and carry on until they are all joined in a circle.

Stick last Snowflake

Step 12

You will have a beautiful big 3d snowflake like the one above. This is my favourite craft of the three.

3D Snowflake

Our 3D snowflake and now to decide where to put it. Or maybe create some more. Where would you hang yours?

Well, there you have our Frozen inspired crafts. What do you think of them? We’d love to see yours if you create some.

Pin for later.

Oh these are brilliant, and when Frozen 2 has died down they’d make great Christmas decorations.
