Weekend, Pink Sky And Festivities Our Weekly Photos – Week 48

30th November 2019 By Susan Mann 36 Comments

Weekendpink sky

Festivities

This week has been a busy week and I’ve not had much of a chance to take photos. I did take a few and with the weather being so cold the skies have been lovely. How has your week been since I left you at last week’s weekly post?

Last Friday I had Lucas at his contact lens teaching session. It was the best session lets say, we decided to give it a break for a few weeks. To be honest, they were really patient and Lucas was too, but time will tell. Back to it in December. Aria and I went to see Frozen 2 at the cinema, we had booked it early on, got our popcorn and drinks and settle in the luxe seats to watch. I enjoyed Frozen and wasn’t sure it would be able to live up to the first. Wow, I was wrong. It was amazing. I sat there enthralled and amazed. I’m sure Aria enjoyed it too, but oh my it was awesome. Do go see it if you can and stay until the end of the credits for the extra bit. It is a lot darker and more grown-up than the first. Aria was a bit scared at times, but nothing major. I don’t want to spoil it, but I cannot wait to see it again. Tyler had gone ice-skating so Aria and I went to watch him as it’s just next to the cinema and then bring him home. I took the picture of Aria before we went out. She was very excited.

Saturday Tyler had football matches, we went to see it briefly before I took Aria to swimming lessons. Lunch and then some shopping for new blinds for the living room as the boys had been playing football in the living room and kindly tore them. The day just came and went. Next thing we knew it was Sunday. Lucas had football, but Aria, Tyler and I stayed in and had a pj day. It was nice. The boys won their 4th game in a row for the season, so they came home happy. We drew and watched some films before gymnastics and Tyler’s other training.

Monday comes round so quickly and it was back to work and school. Football and I’m a Celebrity watching in the evening. Both Tyler and Lucas are loving it, but it is a bit late to be honest, but it’s nice to watch something together as Lucas rarely watches tv shows.

Tuesday was much the same, work and I picked the kids up from school, but I had a ton of stuff to catch up on and some organising stuff to get for the Christmas fayre at school. I seem to be meeting myself going backwards these last few weeks.

Wednesday was a long, so long day at work. Lucas made some yummy pasta in home economics in school. He enjoyed it and said he’ll make it for us soon.ย  I came home and read the two younger ones some of my book to help edit and see if they like it. Still editing away, but not getting a lot of time. I am trying to order the Christmas and birthday shopping during the night at 4am to be precise when I wake up with so much going on through my head. Helping out buying for the Grandparents too.

Another long day at school and work on Thursday and then straight home from work to help at the school Christmas fayre. It was a huge success and the kids had a great time. Our lovely local counsellor played Santa for us and I took Aria and a wee friend to see him when I got a break from the sweetie stall. Sweets are always super popular so I was knackered come the evening. Although, I was still awake during the night trying to get the early Black Friday deals for Christmas and birthday shopping. Not the best to buy in the middle of the night when you fall asleep before checking out.

The weather has been so cold, but it has meant it has been dry and the skies have been so pretty. I caught the sunrise above on Friday morning before work. I took the kids to school, then work, then picked them up, shopping, dinner and some more shopping in the evening. I really don’t know where the hours have gone.

I am looking forward to some time off work and some time to watch some cheesy Hallmark Christmas movies. I do love them. I love Hallmark tv shows too.

There seem to be lots of illness just now. 4 out of 5 of us developed cold sores and my poor mum has shingles. She is ok so far. Hoping the frost will kill off the bugs.

What have you been up to? I am missing my writing and would just like to stop for a minute. So much going on here and in the background.

I have still yet to see Frozen 2. I am so tempted to go without my girls as they’re not too bothered with it.
I hope you all feel better soon. There has been a lot of warnings from my youngest girls school but she’s caught nothing yet. Eek!

That sounds like a very busy week! Christmas and birthday shopping at 4am doesn’t sound much fun at all. I hope things calm down for you all soon. It sounds like the right decision to take a break from the contact lenses for a while. Hopefully things will be easier when he goes back to it. x

Oh dear, I hope your Mum is okay. I feel sad reading your post, my kids are now too old for Father Christmas and have no interest in Frozen 2. What’s a parent to do? I thought saying goodbye to Peppa Pig was bad enough!! x

Santa looked so much like Euan’s Dad there I had to do a double take! ๐Ÿ˜€ He lets his beard grow a little long this time of year, I can’t think why ๐Ÿ˜‰
