Pretty Trees And Pretty Skies Our Weekly Photos – Week 47

23rd November 2019 By Susan Mann 31 Comments

So, have I been any better this week? Probably not, but maybe a little. I am still feeling like I’m not quite myself, forgetting things or people making me feel like I’m forgetting things. I am just not in the right place, but it’ll lift soon. How are you doing since I left you with last week’s weekly post? What have you been up to?

Last weekend I skipped out on watching the boys football matches. It was really cold, they were both super early and Aria wasn’t feeling too hot. Plus, it was the only time I could get a food delivery slot. Aria and I watched The Neverending Story, which is an all-time classic. Then I took her swimming. Lucas stayed in his bed which is totally unheard of, but think he wasn’t feeling too hot this week. Tyler enjoyed football and won one match and drew the second.

Sunday, Lucas team won their match so that makes a big difference in the house when Robert and Lucas come back. We all watched Toy Story and Toy Story 3 with some popcorn before it was football training for Tyler and gymnastics for Aria. Then, Lucas and I started watching I’m a Celeb. He is really enjoying it and he doesn’t watch any tv shows only football on the tv.

Monday, it was a long working day. The kids were all off on an inset day. My mum had them and they did some crafts, Aria was having some fun making Christmas decorations and they went to the shops to get some yummy lunch treats. Aria lost yet another wobbly tooth so she was excited and terrified at the same time. The tooth fairy, however, had some difficulty collecting the tooth as she’d placed it in her tooth fairy doll. The tooth fairy couldn’t reach the soft toy with her little arms. She did leave a coin and a little note explaining. Aria wrote her a wee note the next night to say sorry and left the doll on her desk so she could reach it. The boys only had one lot of football training in the evening so Robert took them out shopping for football boots for Christmas. They were delighted to come back with their awesome boots for them to go away to Santa for Christmas day.

Tuesday, the kids were still off on an inset day, but I finished a little earlier and took them out for a wee treat. Lucas had taken a reaction to something so went and got that checked out. He was a poor wee soul. I did the football run as Robert was working late, Lucas stayed to help out the other coach with the younger kids since his Dad wasn’t there. Despite not feeling great. I think he might follow in his dad’s football coaching footsteps.

Another working day for me on Wednesday and the kids were back to school, except Lucas as his reaction got worse. He was ok, but best to keep him off. He chilled for once at home with my mum and didn’t go to football that evening. We’ve all been watching I’m a celeb now, so that’s new for us. I have been reading my novel to the two younger ones and they have been enjoying it. A good way to check it out and check sentence structure, punctuation, etc.

Thursday I felt like I was going insane and maybe I am. It was a super long day at work, kids were at school and boys both went to football training. Aria and I played a game before her bedtime.

And today, Friday, I am finishing work early for Lucas contact lens teaching session and Aria and I are going to see Frozen this evening. She is super excited, so here’s hoping she loves it.

I realised that I haven’t taken any kid photos this week, but I have enjoyed taking some nature shots and the skies always improve my mood, this is where I am this week. Someone also told me some words of wisdom that have stuck with me, “as long as there is hope.” These are how I feel when I look at a pretty sky, cloud formation or autumn coloured leaves. So, there you are. What are you up to this weekend?

So sorry to hear you’re still not feeling yourself. I hope things improve for you soon. Sorry to hear Lucas wasn’t feeling great either. I’m glad you’re all enjoying I’m A Celebrity. We love it in our house!
I know what you mean about the difference it makes to the mood in the house when the football team get a win! My husband and son are a nightmare when they lose. Luckily their season is going pretty well.
