Chocolate Wreath Gift Craft

25th October 2019 By Susan Mann 6 Comments

Add ribbon

We love homemade gifts and making them is almost as much fun as giving them over. As part of the Tots 100 #BostikCrafts they have a #BluHacks going on just now. Check the details below for a fab competition. I thought I’d come up with this idea as our #BluHacks which is perfect as a Halloween treat or Christmas gift idea for family or even teachers gifts. Get the kids involved and it’s simple, no mess and quick to create. I’d love to know what you think of it.

Chocolate Wreath Gift Craft

Chocolate Wreath Items

What you’ll need:-

  • Bostik Blu Tack
  • Chocolates
  • Scissors or craft knife
  • Ribbon
  • Something to use to draw a circle
  • Pencil
  • Thick Cardboard

Draw Around

Step 1

We tore off a lid from a large box so that the cardboard was stiff enough to be used to hold the chocolates. First off, draw around the plate onto the cardboard.

Circle

Step 2

Once you have your circle you want to cut it out. Now, this can be done using scissors if kids are involved or I chose to use my craft knife.

Cut our circle

Step 3

Cut out your circle and then cut an inner circle.

Cut Middle

Step 4

Once the inner circle has been cut it will look more wreath shape. Depending on the number of chocolates, this will depend on how thick you want the wreath to be.

Add Blu Tack

Step 5

Take out your Blu Tack and start to knead it slightly so it’s soft and sticky to stick to the chocolates. Add it to the cardboard.

Chocolates

Step 6

Use the discarded plate to place your chosen chocolates on for ease of selecting for your wreath.

Add Chocolates

Step 7

Start to stick your chocolates onto the Blu Tack. Press down firm so they stay on.

Add on more chocolates

Step 8

Continue to add on more chocolates using the Blu Tack.

Half Chocolates

Step 9

Keep adding the chocolates covering up all the cardboard space you have. The more the better it looks, but do be careful it doesn’t get too heavy to hang.

Wreath

Step 10

Once you have added all the chocolates it will look a bit like this.

Add ribbon

Step 11

Once your wreath is complete, what about adding a bit of ribbon. We chose Halloween for this one, but we have ordered some Christmas one for Christmas gifts.

Chocolate Wreath Craft

Here is our Chocolate Wreath Craft for our Blu Track hacks for any occasion. What do you think? We plan to make these for teacher gifts and neighbours gifts for Christmas. Something the kids can get involved in. Simple to make and look great.

So what do you think about our craft? We’d love to know if you make them. Send us your photos or post them on social media.

I think most people would be very pleased to receive a wreath like this one for Christmas! It’s a nice way to make something special out of a box of chocolates too 🙂
Don’t tell anyone, but we used Blu Tack to fix our Halloween Trick Or Treat Lucky Dip box together 😀 One of my kids hates sticky glue!

I’m thinking it would make a great way to give chocolates. Ahh, yes, it is much easier than glue isn’t it? x
