24th October 2019 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Baby Born Bath Surprise Doll

Gifted:- We were sent this doll to review, but all thoughts and opinions are our own.

My little Miss is a big fan of dolls, especially baby dolls. She loves nothing more than nurturing, caring and playing mum to her dolls. BABY Born has a fantastic range of dolls and their surprise collection is a big hit in our house. Find out what we think of our new addition BABY Born Surprise Bathtub Surprise Doll.

Inside BABY Born Surprise Bathtub Surprise

he BABY born Surprise Bathtub Surprise doll comes with a bathtub, doll, changing mat/blanket, 2 nappies, bottle, bracelet, 2 charms and a t-shirt. It is a great wee set that has everything you need for some role-playing fun.

This is a great size doll and different and bigger from the last BABY Born Surprise dolls we reviewed. Isn’t she or he lovely? We will find out what the 20 surprises that are in store.

BABY Born Surprise Bathtub Surprise Wiping Eyes

The first part of the unboxing surprise is whether your doll is a boy or a girl. Ours is a girl. Next, up the fun begins. You get to meet your little one and wipe to reveal her eyes. This can only be done once.

We used a wipe to clean away the eyelids makeup. Our doll has beautiful blue eyes and Little Miss said that meant she was part of our family as she had blue eyes as she did. This made her so happy.

Bath Time

The next lot of surprises comes in the bathtub. Fill with some water and you can give your little doll a bath. Your dolls hair will change colour when it has icy water poured on it.

Hair Change

The hair change water needs to be really cold for it to change colour. We thought it wasn’t at first, but when we put the ice on it, it changed colour to brown as you can see above. It doesn’t stay for long, but it was fun to see.

Duck

We added the little paper duck to the water, this dissolves to reveal a cute little t-shirt for your dolly. Don’t worry it’s in a plastic bag so you don’t have to dry it, but it was fun to watch the duck dissolve.

T-shirt

How cute is that t-shirt? It is easy to put on the doll. Unfasten the velcro and slip-on.

BABY Born Surprise Bathtub Surprise Dressed

How cute does our little doll look? Little Miss added on one of the nappies to the doll too. We went for the rainbow theme first.

Feed

Little Miss seemed to be wearing a matching jumper for the doll too. Purely coincidence. Feeding your doll is how to reveal the next surprise. We filled up the bottle with water and Little Miss fed the doll through her mouth.

Charm

Once she’s been fed she may need to fill her nappy. Inside the nappy is a little secret compartment that will dissolve and reveal a hidden charm. The first one was a rainbow charm when we opened up the nappy.

Bracelet

We did the same with the second nappy and you notice that it reveals colour change and a pattern too in the nappies. It is something that happens again and again when going from dry to wet. Our second charm was revealed and Little Miss added them to the bracelet before putting it on. It’s a nice wee addition to the doll set.

The blanket or changing mat is great for drying the doll, snuggling with the doll or changing the dolls nappy. Little Miss really loved playing with this and took to her straight away.

BABY Born Surprise Bathtub Surprise Doll

BABY Born Surprise Bathtub Surprise Doll was a huge hit in our house. Little Miss loved playing with the doll and the accessories. The surprise elements were fun and there are some like the hair colour change and nappy colour change that you can do over and over again. The bathtub is fun and something a little different. All in all, it is a great toy and at around £30 I think it is good value for money. It will be top of a lot of doll loving Christmas lists.
