Football, Clouds And Fridays Our Weekly Photos – Week 38

21st September 2019 By Susan Mann 43 Comments

FootballFriday

Clouds

At least this week has been slightly calmer than last week’s weekly photos post. Tyler is well and truly on the mend. He is a bit washed out, but he’s lying down to it at all. I really wish he would at times. Last Saturday he was back to playing two games of football for his team on Saturday morning. It was a nice day so the rest of us went along to watch. As you can see from Tyler’s face above he is back to his happy place. Once finished, we had some lunch and headed down to the shops and the library. Aria had some books to take back and picked up her summer reading challenge certificate. Usually, they bring them out to the school, but there was a bit of a mix-up with hers and she missed it. They made a big fuss of her in the library as they presented it to her so she was delighted. She maxed out her library card and proudly marched them around the shopping centre in her summer reading challenge bag. The boys got haircuts while Aria and I shopped for a new game, hungry hippos. My poor head is clearly regretting that choice of game now. lol. Robert and I managed a relaxing Saturday evening, with a takeaway and catching up on some Blacklist and Good Girls. I may have fallen asleep. It’s been a busy week.

Sunday morning and another football match. This time for Lucas team and yet another one Robert coaches. It was one of those matches that has been hyped up at school into an old firm rival. Unfortunately, on this occasion, it didn’t go their way and they lost 5-4. Tyler had football in the evening and Aria and I went to gymnastics. She is doing really well.

And just like that, the weekend was over. Another busy week was due to happen. My mum is still away. But, I did capture a pretty cloud photo above. I love cloud formations and finding out what they look like. What can you see in the clouds above?

Monday was a long day at work. The boys had football, Lucas had two lots of football. He’s had a bit of a better week, so far. He is looking forward to the early FIFA 2020 access and we might not see him for a while, but we will certainly hear him. He gets very vocal when playing that particular video game. Aria and I read some books before bed and a chapter of a Worst Witch book. It’s lovely to share these books I loved as a child with her.

Tuesday I did school hours and took Aria and Lucas to table tennis in the evening, while Tyler and Robert went to football training. I had a 121 literary agent meeting during my lunch break at work on Wednesday. It went well and I got lots of positive feedback on what I sent. Plus a few pointers of how to make my synopsis stronger. That was exciting. I was kind of drained trying to juggle it all though and work was so busy. It is all about that balance and now I’m back to vigorously editing. I got some done on Tuesday night when at table tennis so that helps. It’s all about fitting it in when you can.

Not sure at what point I thought it was a good idea to clean out the oven before I went to work on Thursday morning at 7 am. The oven had been smoking the night before as I must have spilt some of the chorizo on it when making chicken and chorizo kebabs. It stunk and was driving me nuts. I certainly felt like I’d done a shift before I even left for work. Thursday was another busy day and Aria and I fitted in a wee trip to the supermarket to pick up some of her favourite cereal. I even did my online food shop for delivery at the weekend as I have a busy weekend ahead.

Now, we are on Friday. And what a gorgeous sunny day it is. I hope you are having some sunshine this weekend? I have a busy day at work, finishing early to pick the kids up. A few chores and then my weekend is filled with an online writing conference called WOWCON which I have signed up for several workshops. I’m not getting to go to Blogon this time around, so this will help. Plus, it sounds great. I’m hoping to pick up some tips and I even did a one-line pitch. It’s all practice after all. I am looking forward to spending some time with the kids and enjoying the nice weather. I do love the autumn, it means chilly, dew dropped grass and beautiful sunshine. I took the photo of Aria above this morning, Friday and the sunshine was coming through. We are all ready for the weekend. I think we are all still recovering from Tyler being in and making sure he was ok. This weekend we have two football matches, some training and gymnastics. What are your plans?

Glad to hear Tyler is doing better. A lot of football in your household! Rather like gymnastics in mine! Great look of concentration on Aria’s face there too.

Glad Tyler is on the mend, nothing stops football does it! I love looking at the clouds too, even when they are dark and moody. We’ve had some sunshine but I lay in bed listening to the rain last night and it’s not stopped today. It sounds like your book is coming along nicely. xx

I’m glad to hear that Tyler is on the mend and is back on the pitch.
It sounds like Aria had a lovely time at the library. hahaha! I remember Hungry Hippos well. I now understand why my parents didn’t encourage my brother & I to play it. It’s so loud!
I used to love the Worst Witch books when I was a child. My girls have read some too.
I hope the online writing conference went well. x

Glad Tyler is better. I’ve had a cold all week, and not shifted yet – it’s been going round work. Saturday was wonderful weather here – I was at Blog on as it’s fairly local this time for me. Then dodging the rain today for N’s first tennis matchplay tournament of the year

Look forward to hearing your thoughts on the online writing conference! Was definitely weird not being at BlogOn this time! Sounds like you have had a much calmer week compared to last week. Good to see Tyler is on the mend, I love his attitude, just get on with it – the smile shows he is happy to be back playing football! Sim x

Tyler being better will be a huge relief to you all. I did not think he would stay off his football for long.
Sounds like it was time well spent on Tuesday lunchtime and glad it gave you pleasure and more ideas, think you deserve some me time.
Busy busy family again, not sure where you and Robert get the energy over and above work and the house.

Hi Susan, well done Aria for completing her summer reading challenge. It’s nice that she enjoys reading… It sounds as if Tyler is well and truly on the mend, which must be a relief!.. Cleaning my oven is a whole morning affair (probably down to my procrastinating). It’s not something I would even attempt before work!
