Blume Dolls – Review

2nd August 2019 By Susan Mann 4 Comments

Blume Dolls

Have you seen the latest doll craze? Ones that you water to grow to unbox? No? Well, here they are, meet the Blume dolls. Sprinkle a little water and who will grow?

In the Wrapper

Opening the initial wrapping, which to be honest was a lot tougher and more secure than similarly packaged items, was a cute little pot. The colour of the pot determines the section your doll will come from. There is Rare which is purple, gold is super rare, mystical and then there is adorable. They are all adorable I think.

Opening the Pot

Upon opening the pot by removing the lid, you will find that there is a gold foil lid on top. You get a leaflet giving the details about the dolls. There are 22 to collect in total. It is a good idea to have a look at the leaflet, it allows your child to guess which one they might get or would like and read through the instructions. The essential watering can is there.

Watering can

The watering can fill up simply by squeezing it and the water sucks up. You then sprinkle that onto the top and the magic happens. It is soooooo cool.

Blume Doll Blooming

How cool is that? My mouth was agape watching these dolls pop up. Just like magic. It is amazing and it happens so fast, so make sure you keep an eye out. The doll literally blooms before your eyes.

Take Blume Doll Out

Meet Valerie. She is a rare type of Blume doll. The doll comes out easily and each Blume doll is a surprise and has unique and over-the-top hairstyles and individual outfit and shoes.

Flowerpot

Inside each flower pot, there are 10+ surprises. They get to have the fun of opening little packets and pots inside. The fun doesn’t stop once the Blume doll has bloomed, no you need to lift out the inside that pops the doll out and then open the pot.

Inside the Flower Pot

Inside the flower pot, you will find shoes, stickers, an outfit, a little pet, accessories and a fabulous playset.

Mirror-Stand

Inside the pot is a little stand that also acts as a mirror in the little flower pot house. Stick your sticker onto the opposite side of the stand.

Standing doll

Dress your Blume doll in her little outfit, shoes and handbag. Place her on to her stand and voila. Doesn’t Valerie look fabulous?

Super Rare Blume Doll Flowerpot

The next one we opened in our other Blume doll and you have no idea how excited Little Miss was to find she had a gold flower pot. Now, for those not in the know, a gold flower pot means that it is an Ultra Rare. Let’s add some water and find out who blooms in this one.

Ultra Rare Blume Doll Blooming

Aren’t they fabulous? A pretty little flower popping out of the pot.

Removable Hair

Meet Kit. Like all Blume Dolls, their hair is removable and interchangeable. They have a cute little bun underneath, but it’s great that their hair can be changed around.

Ultra Rare Blume Dolls

These two are both Ultra Rares and have their super cute outfits on. As you can see they are a big hit with Little Miss. The hair stays on well considering it’s interchangeable. It is also made of squishy type material, whereas the bodies are hard plastic, so it makes for an interesting texture type.

Blume Doll with their pot

I think one of the most exciting parts of Blume Dolls is that their containers become their little house. I think it’s important with the current packaging issues around toys, that they have thought about a way to use the packaging as part of the toy. It gives a whole new level to the toy. It allows the toy to be stored and her outfits can be kept in the flowerpot.

Playing

Little Miss has been playing with these we bloomed them. She loves playing with different accessories and flowerpots. And the fact they are small enough to carry about, it means she can take them to play outside and over to her Grandparents.

Blume Dolls Unboxed

We really loved the way that you can swap and change the hair. The clothes can be changed and one of our favourite parts is the cute little pets.  Little Miss loves the Blume dolls and has put her pocket money away to by another one. With an RRP £9.99, I think they are great value for money and would make a great present, pocket money toy and the perfect Christmas gift. They can be purchased at Amazon, Argos, Smyths and other good toy stores. These will be top of Little Miss Christmas list this year. And I imagine the top of a few kids. There are 22 Blume dolls to collect and lots of different ones to come across. We give Blume dolls a huge thumbs up.
