Rangers, Party Dress And Scooters Our Weekly Photos – Week 29

20th July 2019 By Susan Mann 36 Comments

Rangers

Scooter

What a quick week it’s been. We are halfway through our summer holidays here. It has been a mixed week of some days off and some working since I left you with last weeks weekly photos. How has your week been? Last weekend we had quite a quiet one. We’d had a busy week the week before with being back from holiday and Tyler doing Rangers football camp which he loves. I shared the photo of him above this week as it’s one of my favourites of him. He was so proud to be wearing that strip and is really missing the football camp. So much so that he asked to be booked onto another. It’s not quite as intense, but it’s still a good camp with the same team and Lucas is going to do it too after hearing his little brothers tales.

Robert and I spent time watching Stranger Things three last weekend. OMG, it is so good. Definitely, my favourite season and I may have shed a tear or five at the end. Have you seen it? I’d love to know what you think. It was gorgeous weather and the kids were loving playing outside at the weekend with their friends on the street. We did some shopping on Sunday too. A few gifts to get and the boys got haircuts.

I also got my first few chapters polished, very short blurb and bio, the later seemed to be the hardest. I don’t like selling myself. Anyway, I entered in a competition. This was way out of my comfort zone, but I’ve done it. For not I’ve got the last chapter of the re-write to do and then work on my editing course. I had the day off work on Monday as Aria had a party to go to. She got all dolled up in her party dress and had the best time as it was at soft play. She doesn’t get to go there as often as the boys did, mainly because the boys are a little old for it now, so this was perfect for her. She had a ball. While she was there, I took the boys to the indoor skate park. It’s in the same building as the soft play so I could flit between them both. Although, I struggle to watch the boys scooter on those hills. Don’t know about you, but oh goodness, my heart is in my mouth. Especially Tyler who was doing these jumps off the scooter into the foam pit. I posted a few videos on Instagram stories. I captured a nice photo of Lucas above on his scooter and he allowed me to share it, so the lesser spotted teen is about on the blog today. It was a fun afternoon. When it finished the kids came with me to buy some paint. I decided I wasn’t quite busy enough and need to add some home decorating into my daily life. I thought if I just paint a little bit at a time I’ll get there sometime in the next few years. I painted the radiator with special radiator paint and it looks fab. Then, cleaning the front door while the kids played outside. I forgot to mention last week when I got home from holiday, there was some kind of purple goo all down the lower part of my front door. It looked like a unicorn had thrown upon it. Turned out, Aria put some slime, yes slime, into our letterbox before she left. She forgot to take it out and it melted all down the door for a week and a half. No idea what the postman thought. I have a new letterbox arriving any day now. Slime may be banned for the foreseeable future. Or at least a day! Tuesday, it was back to work. It was a busy one catching up. I was knackered come home time. Wednesday, was another working day. While I was at work, the kids were at Robert’s parent’s house and my Mum went over so they could have a party for Oreo, the dog’s birthday. They had both a dog birthday cake and a human one. No leftover cake for me! Lucas had some football that evening. He has been going to the gym a few mornings a week with Robert. Doing running and cardio stuff, no weights or anything like that. He’s trying to build up his upper leg muscles for running.

Another thing I forgot to share last week was the drama of Aria losing her second tooth. Yes, she is looking a bit toothless at the minute. She was not for taking this tooth out. It was so loose on our holiday that it was lying sideways. She was having none of it and I was worried she’d swallow it. She said she’d take it out when she was back home. She actually waited until we arrived in Scotland and removed it. Tears flowed, but it was out. When the kids have been coming home when we are home from work, Aria is straight outside with her friends. They have built a wee den over in the bushies and are loving it. Between that and their bikes, it’s hard to get them to come in at night. It is great to see.

Thursday was a tiring day at work, I didn’t sleep well, I’d been having some strange nightmares the night before. Really odd. The boys and Robert went to a Rangers match in the evening. Friday I had the day off since I had the dentist and spent some time with the kids. We went to an outdoor skate park while the rain stayed away and I did some more painting. I’m playing the long game with the one. It might take decades, but I’ll get there. We have a busy weekend ahead. I have my first ever baby shower on Saturday, so that will be fun. Robert has a refresher first aid course for football and Sunday is Robert’s Dad’s birthday, so we are all going out to celebrate. Not sure what else we will get up to. I’ve also done most of the back to school shop. One pair of shoes and a pinafore and skirt for Aria. Not too bad considering.

Well, that’s what we’ve been up to. If you are on summer holidays and looking for something for the rainy days? We created some crafts last weekend if you want to check them out Crafts.

Hope you have a lovely weekend.

That sounds like a busy week. Well done on all the hard work on your book and good luck for the competition. The scooter park does look rather scary. I had to laugh at the slime on the door – what a nightmare! Well done to Lucas for going to the gym. We’ve never been gym-goers in this family, but I suspect it will be something my younger son wants to do when he turns 16.

It sounds like the book is really coming along now..good luck with the competition. I had to giggle at the slime in the letterbox, I can’t blame you for banning slime. We had an issues with escaping slime in the fridge the once, it wasn’t pleasant. I hope you enjoyed your break and the rest of the school holidays go smoothly x

Looks like you’ve had such a busy week. I absolutely love her dress! Yes I finished watching Stranger things yesterday afternoon and sobbed my heart out. I was trying so hard to hold back the tears to prove my husband wrong as he told me I’d cry. ( he watched the ending the night before as I fell asleep ) xx

hate it when you mind runs havoc overnight leading to weird dreams/nightmares.
The book sounds like it is at an exciting stage.
Oh dear at the slime incident.
It is difficult with the younger ones when you have an age gap.
Glad they enjoyed the football enough to want to go back, not that I am surprised
