The Aladdin Range from shopDisney – Review

8th June 2019 By Susan Mann 10 Comments

Aladdin ShopDisney Toys Review

*Features gifted items from shopDisney, but all thoughts and opinions are my own

We are huge Aladdin fans and have watched the film many times. It’s one of those Disney films that everyone loves, boys, girls and adults alike, isn’t it? We are really looking forward to seeing the new live-action film out in the cinema now. We were sent some fantastic shopDisney Aladdin toys and merchandise to try out as part of their three wishes campaign. If you had three wishes what would you wish for? Read on to find out ours.

Aladdin NoteBook and Mug

To be honest, I hid a couple of gifts for myself. Who isn’t a sucker for a pretty notebook and now I’m a coffee drinker, I’m always on the lookout for a pretty mug. See I told you Aladdin was for everyone.

NoteBook And Mug

The Aladdin journal is a beautiful book. It has a magnetic closing that allows it to be kept secure. Keeping those secrets safe. The pages are magically printed with a themed design. It’s a lovely notebook to keep or use as a diary. I love the Free To Dream gold embossed lettering on the front. At £10 rrp I think it’s good value for money. It’s got a thick quality about it,  not just the cover, but the paper too. The mug is well made, heavy to lift, but feels sturdy. I love the design of Jasmine and it’s a dream to have my cup of coffee in. With an rrp of £11, it would make a great gift for any older Aladdin fan and it’s dishwasher and microwave safe into the bargain.

NoteBook

The larger notebook is magnificent. It’s the Queen of notebooks. With its purple velvet plush cover to its animated decorations, it’s no ordinary book. It’s A4 size too with an ornate bookmark in the middle. I truly love this. It is a book you’d write something very special in our memories, something you’d keep forever. Designed to look like Aladdin’s magic carpet, it is worth every penny of the £14, it’s lush.

Aladdin Back to School

Next up we have our very own Aladdin back to school range. Aren’t the gorgeous? How amazing is that backpack? We all love the Genie and this backpack is a dream come true. The colour is pearlescent with a fluffy and soft Genie face. It is a good small size for a younger kid, but I wish it came in a larger size for myself. The drink cup is sturdy, made of strong plastic with a pop-up drinking straw. It will hold the water secure for a day at school. I love the Jasmine printed design on the cup and the fact the colours all match together. I think at £7, it looks great and not too bad a price.

Aladdin Backpack

You can see the size of the backpack on Aria is a great fit for wearing and carrying your everyday items or school items. The pocket is spacious at the front and there is plenty of room for toys. At 32cm high, it’s a great size. I love that it features a fluffy face with appliqué eyes with embroidered details. At £20 it might be on the pricey side for a bag, but it is a special one. It’s 3D features bring something extra to the bag and it really comes to life.

Aladdin Magic Lamp

You can’t have Aladdin without the magic lamp and this one is certainly magical. It looks the part and when you press the top of it, it makes sounds and spins. Get three squares matching in the light up area and you win. At rrp of £12, I think this is a great toy for bringing imaginative play to life.

Aladdin Making 3 Wishes

Having a magic lamp means you can be granted three wishes and shopDisney asked us what we would wish for. So, Aria rubbed the magic lamp and asked for her wishes. The first one was to have a pet unicorn, but it had to be small enough to fit in the house. Her second was for the rain to stop so she could go out on her bike. And her last wish was to have birthday cake every day. Her answers were lovely and you can imagine that a  lot of little girls would wish for a unicorn. I think I would wish for good health for myself and family, a good book deal and happiness for the world around us. If you could grant three wishes from the Genie, what would you wish for?

Princess Jasmine Costume

Why not be become, Princess Jasmine. Little Miss loved changing into this sweet off cold-shoulder type top. It is pretty with a glittery top that is peacock inspired. Which little one wouldn’t love to wear this and the matching harem style trousers.

Lamp

The attention to detail is incredible and the little lamp on the top shows they have thought of everything to include. The glitter stays on well and Aria said it was really comfortable to wear. It’s her Halloween costume she has declared, although it’s barely been off since. The Princess Jasmine outfit is £31 rrp and that might seem a little expensive for a dress-up costume, but it is well made, not that itchy type material a lot of Princess dress up and looks great.

Princess Jasmine Crown

With a beautiful Princess Jasmine costume, you can’t not have a stunning Princess tiara now, can you? Made of shiny gold metal with an insert that has the magic lamp and plastic gemstones. It sparkles and fits securely to the head with combs. Sturdy and sparkly, this will make any little one jump with excitement. At £11 I think it’s great value.

Genie and his lamp

Genie is my favourite character, who doesn’t love Robin Williams. And we are looking forward to seeing what Will Smith brings to the beloved favourite. We have had a lot of fun with this Genie doll, he looks great, perfect size for little hands and comes with his own mini magic lamp to make your three wishes come true. At £13, I think it’s a great value and a lot of fun.

Aladdin Stickers

Stickers are like gold to little ones and these 3D puffy style stickers. At £2 they are great value. We have had lots of fun sticking these and decorating with them. They covered Aladdin, Genie, Abu, Jafar and more.

Abu Elephant

Abu is such a cute character. A lot of fo fun and a loyal friend to Aladdin. This is Abu as the elephant which featured in the original film. At 32 cm high it’s a fair size for imaginative play and perfect for snuggles in the evening. The soft toy is velvety soft and at £20 it is good value. Aria adores this toy and both boys have said this is their favourite.

There are so many other toys in the range which I recommend you check out at shopDisney. Have you seen the new Aladdin film? What did you think?
