The Wonders Of nanu Sleep And The Perfect Pillow #AD

17th May 2019 By Susan Mann 8 Comments

Nanu Pillow

I have purchased many many pillows recently, in the search for one that will support my head and help with migraines. I thought I had reached the end of the line, I’ve had triangle ones, butterfly ones, water-filled ones, gel cooling ones and many many more. I had pretty much given up until I found a company called nanu. They are amazing and customise your pillow to suit the way you sleep, weight, height and comfort choice. Honestly, it’s the best pillow I have ever had. No more waking up with a sore, stiff neck. I am in love with a pillow!

Nanu Sleep Box

The lovely people at nanu, not only send them out in these lovely boxes, but they are on a mission to encourage people to change their pillows every three years. Which, let’s face it, not a lot of us do. I was horrified when I realised my oldest had my Dad’s pillow I’d kept and had taken it into his bed. He’d never met my Dad as he died years before he was born and now he’s 12. I quickly made a change for him. With him having asthma, it was great that nanu pillows are allergen free, so they are suitable for all the family. How old are your pillows? We obviously wash them, but they need to be changed. I was shocked though, to hear that 40% of Brits have never even washed their pillows. Not great when you consider how much you sweat, shed skin, etc. Maybe people don’t know you can wash them. You should though. Do you wash yours? If so how often?

Nanu Packaging

How nanu’s fabulous three-year switch campaign works are that they are running a pillow amnesty over on their Facebook page encouraging the three-year pillow change. Post a picture of your old pillow and a whopping 50 people will be chosen at random to receive a brand new pillow, personalised to suit them.  How generous is that?

Nanu Sleep

As I mentioned, I have struggled with migraines for a while and I think that a lot of the headache side was caused by stiffness and pain in my neck when I woke up in the morning. I have really, really struggled to find the perfect pillow. One that is not too firm that my ears hurt, being a side sleeper. One that will cradle and support my neck, is a good height to support the bit between your shoulders and neck. One that isn’t too soft you feel like you are lying on the mattress. I asked many times over on Twitter what other people used, but I never found my match until now. As you can see this is the perfect size for side sleeping, supporting my head, cradling my neck. The nanu pillow when you order online you fill in how your sleep, weight etc and if gets it right. I went for a medium firmness. What would you pick? At £35 it is great value for money. I only wish I’d come across it before now.

Nanu Migraine

How do you sleep? Are you a side, back or front sleeper? Maybe you change? When I have a migraine, I find lying on my back helps. The pillow is just as supportive and comfortable as it is side sleeping. These warming eye masks are fab too, very relaxing. I have noticed a difference in the tension and stiffness I experienced in my neck and shoulders when I awoke in the morning. It’s a miracle.

Pillow Bed

Why not try out nanu pillow for yourself, you won’t regret it. Your neck and mental well-beingness, after a good nights sleep, will thank you for it. Log onto their website nanusleep.co.uk and fill in your details. There are lots of tips about sleeping and it’s a really lovely website to navigate about too. Not only that, every pillow is made from recycled plastic bottles, each one stopping 20 plastic bottles from going to the landfill. Great for you and the environment. There are a 30-day return policy, free delivery options and a 2-year guarantee. Do check out their Facebook page for their contest and a chance to win one. Also, everyone that enters will receive a £5 discount code.

Disclaimer:- This post is a paid collaboration with nanu, but all thoughts are my own and I really am in love with this pillow.

Honestly the only time we wash our pillows if something gets spilt on them – obviously we regularly wash the pillow cases, but hadn’t thought about the actual pillow. I am still concerned that the shape isn’t right afterwards! As that’s what happens when we have to wash them.

Anyway loving the nanu pillow, mine is like a dream.

great you have found something that helps. Here is hoping for a reduction in your migraine pain. I wash mine every 6 months, but hubby will not allow me to wash his as it does tend to spoil the shape a bit.
I tend to fall asleep on my side but wake up on my front.
I have been told back is the best position for the long term well being of your neck.

I think they can, but it’s about shaping back before it dries. I can’t sleep on my back, never have x

Oh my I am going to have a look at these as I am always looking for decent pillows, the ones we have at the moment are memory foam and I find them really uncomfortable.

Oh goodness is it really bad that I have never washed our pillows. It’s crazy that we spend so much time in bed, but probably never give our pillows a second thought. I love the way it is customised, and £35 seems great value. Glad it appears to be helping with the migraines x
