Haircut, Cat And Easter Egg Decorating Our Weekly Photos – Week 16

It’s been a long and busy week since last weeks weekly photos. How has your week been? Last Saturday Robert’s wee team had a match, but neither of the boys did. The rest of us had a lazy morning and then we went down to the centre to get Aria’s haircut. Now, her hair was really long, touching her waist long. She hasn’t had it cut in almost two years because we had a little incident in the hairdressers where someone set a fire extinguisher off right beside her and she got the fright of her life and wouldn’t go back in again. The hairdressers on Saturday were very nice and she felt at ease. She got a lot cut off it and it looks so much better. She is proud of it. You can see it in the photo above. As a wee treat, we went to Claire’s Accessories. Aria picked out some new earrings and hair bands to compliment her lovely new haircut. The boys both got their haircut too. I really should have got my own cut, but I was so busy getting the kids done. Saturday evening, we finished watching Umbrella Academy which was fab.

Sunday morning Lucas had football. The rest of us didn’t go even though the weather was nice, but there wasn’t going to be room in the car, ahh well, it was a super early game so it meant we could chill for a bit. The kids went out to play for a while before Aria and I picked up her friend for gymnastics. The two younger ones made their decorated boiled eggs for the Easter Activity day at school. Tyler made the awesome cactus and Aria painted hers into her favourite ice-cream cones. Both looked great, don’t they?

And just like that spring break was over and it was back to school and work on Monday morning. You can imagine all the grumpy faces that morning, myself included. It was a busy a long day. The kids all had good days at school, so that was good. It was back to the usual football training in the evening. Tyler went to a new one, which he enjoyed so fingers crossed he likes it. Lucas did 121 training and then his own football training. Honestly, I don’t know how he does it, but this is what he wants and would play 24,7 if he could. And of course Robert and I watched Game of Thrones. It was so good.

Tuesday I was working all day. Home for football training, table tennis and Aria was playing outside. The lighter and nicer nights are lovely. The kids have been playing out loads and I’ve been snatching a few minutes of writing in between the coming in and out for drinks, scooters, skint knees, etc.

I had Wednesday off to help at the school Easter activity day run by Parent Council. Like most schools, we don’t get many volunteers so I help where I can and the kids like me being there. I helped all day and wore trainers as I thought that would be better since I was on my feet all day. No, my legs are still killing me come Friday. See, I wear heels all the time, heeled boots mainly and have a high instep so they are more comfortable. It seems my legs don’t like flat shoes. I came home and caught up with some writing, made dinner, picked up Tyler from yet another football while Robert and Lucas were at their football training. Some more writing and Aria out playing. I say the light nights are great for outdoors playing, not quite so much for getting her into bed. She doesn’t believe the clock when it says it’s 8. Do you have this problem?

Thursday was a strange day at work. A worrying one, but all came ok in the end. Kids had a good day at school and one last lot of football before we have the long weekend off. Twilight joined us outside for a wee stroll. She never ventures further than the front step which is good.

And hooray for Friday and the first day of the long weekend off. I did a spot of shopping for some eggs for an Easter hunt on Sunday. My Mum stopped round when taking Oreo out and the kids played outside. The boys played football of course. Aria has been having lots of fun with bubbles. The weather is gorgeous and actually warm. I am hoping it stays this way for the weekend. We don’t have many plans for the Easter weekend, I’m hoping to visit a place, we will go to a National Trust Property for an egg hunt and have family dinner at Robert’s sisters for Easter dinner. What plans do you have? I hope you have a wonderful Easter and enjoy all the chocolate. project-365-2017-badge

Aria’s new hair looks lovely! I love the cactus egg too. I had to laugh at your legs aching after wearing trainers. Who would have thought it? Mine would definitely ache if I wore heels!
    Have a lovely Easter. x

Aria looks very smart with her new hair. I think school events make your feet hurt whatever you are wearing – they are always so busy. Happy Easter xx

It must be the week for haircuts as two of mine have had theirs done too. Star’s is long enough for her to sit on but she won’t have it cut apart from a light trim every now and then. Aria looks gorgeous with her new locks and it’s lovely to see Twilight making an appearance this week. Have a lovely weekend x

I cannot wear heels as my muscles are use to flat shoes. Nice of you to take the time to volunteer when so many none working parents don’t.

Poor Aria with that experience with the fire extinguisher think I’d have been the same, hopefully she’ll be fine from now on and a trip to Claire’s accessories is always a welcome visit. I rarely wear heels, I can walk in them but much more comfortable in flats
