Weekend, Unicorn And Views Our Weekly Photos – Week 11

Weekend

My migraines have been bad since I left you from last week’s weekly photos. Last weekend’s football matches didn’t quite go to plan. Saturday morning Tyler had two matches. Robert was coaching another team and his got cancelled, so he coached Tyler’s instead. It was freezing and wet, the other three including myself stayed home to do some 3d jigsaws. Thank goodness we did as the heavens opened and it hailed down. Great big giant pieces of hail. I felt so sorry for Robert and Tyler on the football field in that. Both came home freezing. We had lunch and did some more jigsaws and lego in the afternoon. Robert and I had a takeaway in the evening with a wee Rhubarb and Ginger gin for me and Kraken rum for Robert. Started watching The Order and Umbrella Academy on Netflix. Both not too bad so far.

Sunday, we awoke to snow. It was lying, but it wasn’t anything major. However, it was enough to get Lucas game cancelled as the pitch was covered. Another day in the house and Lucas made us some chocolate cake that he’d made in Home Economics. It was very tasty and he even made a gluten free one for Robert. We were impressed. Gymnastics in the evening and the boys played Futsal.

It comes round far too quickly, but Monday morning was here. It was back to work and school. Although it’s not long until spring break here. It was a long and busy Monday at work. The weather has been wet and windy, so I didn’t get my usual sunrise and sunset that cheer up my Monday. Aria wanted to wear her unicorn outfit again, which I captured in the photo above. Both Robert and Lucas came in frozen and soaked to the skin with the horrid weather.

Tuesday, I did school hours and took the kids to school, worked and then picked up Aria. We did her homework, picked up Lucas and then picked up poor wee Tyler who was doing school football in the wind and rain. The weather has been awful this week. Lucas had table tennis and go his bat, so he was chuffed.

I think Wednesday will be known as the day Facebook and Instagram broke. It was lovely to chat with a whole load of old Twitter friends and see twitter alight with actual chat. Apart from people feeling a bit lost, it was a busy day. No football due to the weather, but I did capture a beautiful sky view above. I didn’t get to post it until Thursday though. Watching the Brexit votes, but let’s just leave it at that. Tyler played in a school football tournament which he enjoyed. He likes playing for the school as he gets to play with his school friends.

Thursday I saw some deer at work, but was too slow to capture them. Wednesday and Thursday my migraine has been really bad. It has been there most of the time, but the pain hasn’t been quite as bad. These two days I’ve had my migraines glasses on, looking a bit like Willy Wonka as they have green lenses. The Johnny Depp character, not the original. Just so you get the image right, lol.

Friday, I was at the doctors in the morning. I did the school run, some writing, doctors, picked up my Mum’s birthday present, more writing and then it was school run time. It’s the quickest day of the year. Lucas has gone skating this evening, Friday and we are still waiting to hear if football will be on this weekend as we are on a yellow warning for snow. Aria got prepared with her super snuggly blanket as you can see in our weekend picture.

The doctor has upped my preventative, but I need to see how it goes on the drowsiness front. I still need to function, but I need help too. I will be upping it to the next level over the next 4 weeks. Fingers crossed as it’s been really bad again today. I’m sitting here with one of those blue cooling sheets on. They are pretty good. I am desperate.

Writing-wise, I’ve been doing some editing of my first three chapters to send to an agent 121 meeting. Not sure what is going to happen at the weekend, I will fill you in next time. How has your week been? project-365-2017-badge

So sorry to hear that your migraines have been so bad. I really hope increasing the medication works for you. It sounds like your weather has been horrendous this week. We had a freak hail storm that turned to snow last Sunday. It lasted literally about 15 minutes, but it gave a good covering – and I was driving in it! It was pretty scary.
Love the photo of A with her blanket. x

The weather has been really awful this week hasn’t it. I love your sky picture this week, it’s amazing and I love your photo of Aria one the bed, very clever.
Sorry to hear about your migraines being bad again though, I really hope you can tolerate the increase in medication and they help. Have you tried beta-blockers? They worked for me for a while, they were called Topiramate and I had to take one at night to prevent the migraine. I really think your doctor should be doing more considering the amount of migraines you have. xx

It really has been crazy. Thank you. They are crazy. I take beta-blockers, I have slow release propanolol just now. I think they are trying to treat the cause, but it’s not easy. I will DM you xx

It seems like everyone has had a bit of snow apart from us here. It used to be Scotland got it first then us in Northumberland soon after.
It was brilliant seeing lots of people chatting on Twitter on Wednesday. Just like the good old days. x

Poor you Hun, I hope you get some control over your migraines your trying so hard to fix the situation, migraines are absolutely awful. I love your photos especially the beautiful sky you always manage to capture. Roll on warmer weather, I can’t wait for the spring, we are all getting fed up of the wind and crazy weather changes. Woody doesn’t like talking his wees in the garden when it’s windy, he’s scared of it.

Every day seems to be like four seasons in one day recently. I do wonder if the weather is affecting your migraines. My son gets nosebleeds due to the changes in air pressures. We have a barometer in the hall so we can monitor the changes.

oh dear at the migraines still playing up. I get where you are coming from on drowsiness with medication I have a few that made me drowsy until my body got use to them. A hard choice to make on suffering the illness and not be able to function and taking to much medication and not be able to function.
It was an awful week weather side.
