It’s been another busy week with work and lots of activities for the kids since I left you with last week’s weekly post. Last weekend the kids went and stayed over at their Aunt and Uncles. They had the best time, not much sleep, but the best time with their cousins and favourite Auntie. Robert and I had a wedding, it was a close friend of Roberts and this wedding has been a long time coming. It was a wonderful day and special to see them both get married. I decided to give myself a bit of an up hairdo, I am not very good at hair, but it did ok. So here I am in front of the camera for the second time this year. We had a lovely time at the evening reception too. A few drinks, dancing and lots of laughing at Robert’s gluten-free meal. You had to be there, lol!
Sunday morning was an early start having only come home in the wee small hours. The kids came home at 9 as Lucas had a football match, so off him and Robert got picked up for the match. I may have had a little cat nap while Tyler and Aria played. Gymnastics was in the evening and Aria and her wee bestie got their very first badge and certificate for pass their first section. Not only that they got their leotards. Two very happy and excited girls I had on my hands.
Before we knew it, it was Monday morning. Back to work and school. Three tired kids and two tired adults went off. And Lucas had a cold, apparently, he’d had it for 2 years now, so it’s been a long term cold it seems. I did capture a beautiful orange sunrise which made my day. A busy day at work and then football training for Lucas and Robert in the evening. Tuesday, I did school hours to take the kids to school and pick them up and do homework. Tyler wasn’t feeling great, think he got Lucas cold. So, he skipped school football but still had football in the evening. It meant that he could get his homework done before dinner. While Robert was coaching Tyler’s team, Aria and I took Lucas to table tennis. His wee friend is going now, so he was very happy about that.
Wednesday and Thursday were both filled with busy days at work, more football training for both boys and cross country training for Tyler. Lucas hasn’t been himself, but getting there. High school has been a big change for him.
Lots going on football wise. I really don’t know how Robert and the other coaches do it all. He does everything from coaching, ordering strips, paperwork, registering and so much more. I am proud of everything Robert does and I don’t think he gets told it often enough, but he’s doing a great job.
Friday, I had the day off and went to see Tyler represent his school in cross country. He was amazing and absolutely loved it. It was the first time he’s run and I couldn’t be prouder. A few bits of catching up and some writing. Writing has been getting done, but slowly this week. I did win a manuscript appraisal so that’s good news and I entered a competition.
I have also caught up with Greys Anatomy and been watching Russian Doll on Netflix, it’s interesting so far. What have you been watching?
This weekend both boys have football matches. Robert has another team in a different league so he will be with them Saturday, so I will be with Tyler. Not much else on so far, but time will tell. What are your plans?
Bless her. I can remember the excitement of receiving gymnastics badges too #mysundaysnapshot

They were soooo excited. It is nice for them, I hated sports as a child too x
Glad you enjoyed the wedding and the kids their time away.
Things like kids football only happen due to many volunteers all over the country like your husband, so well done to all of them.
Glad he enjoyed his cross country, I loved that at school as well, we called it orienteering back then.
We have just finished watching Outlander, and I am into series 2 of Touch as well.
