It’s the most wonderful time of the year… yes people, it’s almost Christmas. And I have some awesome childrens Christmas Deorations to make for this month’s Tots 100 #BostickBlogger craft. Let me know what you think of them.
Christmas Decoration Crafts For Kids – Snowflake Decoration
What you’ll need:-
- Bostik White Glu
- White Buttons
- Lolly pop sticks
- Thread or string
Step 1
Get your lolly sticks and start to put them into a five figure star shape.
Step 2
Using Bostik White Glu, start to stick them down on top of each other. Joining at the middle.
Step 3
Once finished you should have a star shape. Allow to dry.
Step 4
Next, you want to get your buttons out. We sorted them into small to large piles.
Step 5
We started with our largest button in the middle. Stick this on with the Bostik White Glu.
Step 6
Continue to add the buttons going from large to small along the sticks.
Step 7
Once you have added them all, you will have something that looks like this. Allow to dry.
Step 8
Next, you want to add some string to hang it up with. For this we used embroidery thread.
Step 9
Cut the string to size and glue onto the back of your snowflake. Let it dry before hanging up.
Step 10
Our Snowflake decoration. I think these would look great on any tree or hanging up at the window.
Christmas Decoration Crafts For Kids – Button Snowman Decoration
What you’ll need:-
- White and Black Buttons
- Bostik White Glu
- Pipecleaners
- Ribbon or other pipcleaner
- Scissors
Step 1
Start by threading your buttons onto the pipecleaner. You want to leave a bit at the bottom so they don’t fall off.
Step 2
The larger ones should be in the middle of this section. This is to make the body of the snowman.
Step 3
Leave a small gap and start adding your snowman head.
Step 4
Your completed snowman body will look something like this.
Step 5
Next, you want to add the snowman hat. We used three black buttons, the large one at the bottom and two smaller ones.
Step 6
Through the gap in the middle you want to add a snowman scarf. Initially we used a bit of ribbon, but it didn’t sit as well. So, we cut a sparkly pipecleaner and used that.
Step 7
It looks a much better size and fits well.
Step 8
Next, you want to tie a knot in the bottom of the pipecleaner so the buttons don’t fall off.
Step 9
Cut the bottom part off to neaten it up.
Step 10
Using the top part of the pipecleaner, hook around and twist to make a hook.
Step 11
What do you think of our Button Snowman Decoration? These are simple and look effective.
Christmas Decoration Crafts For Kids – Angel Decoration
What You’ll Need:-
- Bostik White Glu
- Scissors
- White Cardboard
- Gold Pipecleaner (optional)
Step 1
We folded our cardboard into a fan shape so we could cut equal size strips.
Step 2
Cut out 5 strips.
Step 3
Using the Bostik White Glu, you want to make a bell shape. Cut the strip at the bottom slightly smaller and bend the larger one round. Glue at both ends.
Step 4
Bend round and stick to make a wing.
Step 5
Create a second wing.
Step 6
Create a circle for the angel head and stick.
Step 7
You now have all your angel parts to use the Bostik White Glu to stick together.
Step 8
Glue the wings to the body of the angel.
Step 9
Stick on the angel head. Allow drying.
Step 10
Use a glittery pipe cleaner to create a circle for a halo.
Step 11
Add the halo to the angel.
Step 12
Our Angel decoration. Doesn’t she look cute? We plan to have her on the mantelpiece. Where would you put it?
Pin for later.
What do you think of our Chistmas decoration crafts, we’d love to know if you make any of them.

Those are really lovely, I particularly like the snowflakes, we will have a go at those and my daughter is obsessed with Christmas crafts at the moment
I love that angel – so very simple and you don’t need 48 hands to hold it while you glue it together 🙂
These are so pretty! We’d like to make our own decorations this year so the tutorial is perfect – thank you!
