How are you all? Have you had a good week? Last week I left you on my weekly post, I was still feeling poorly. I have improved a little this week, still not great, but my breathing is a bit better. Still sicky, but fingers crossed I’m going in the right direction. They said it can take up to 8 weeks, but I really hope not.
Last weekend we had football for Tyler and then Lucas game on Sunday. It was a good day, they only went and won their first game of 11 asides. You have no idea how much they deserved this, they have been so unlucky and it helped Robert too. Unfortunately, myself and the younger two weren’t there as we were at the litter pick up, which was also fun. In other news, my mum dropped the bombshell that she got a puppy, so obviously, we had to go see that too. He is very cute and don’t worry there will be pictures soon. Just now, he looks like a small ball of black fur.
Monday morning saw the puppy coming over as my mum was watching the kids. I headed to work. It was a long day, but I got through it. Twilight started to come round to the puppy, I think because they are the same colour, they think they are the same. The kids were fine at school and I pretty much went to bed as soon as I got Aria into bed.
Tuesday, I had the day off work. I was trying to catch up on some blogging, chores, etc, but of course, trying to take it easy too. Aria and I had an hour after school before I picked up Tyler from school football. We picked up leaves and conkers. We collected a whole bag full of conkers. It is the first year in forever since we’ve had any near where we live. It was really nice and as you can see Aria was delighted with our haul. Football training in the evening and Aria and I did some colouring before bed.
Another day at work, another day of the puppy visiting, another day of school and another evening of football training. Tyler and I caught up on the Great British Bake Off. It’s his favourite tv show. I’m still feeling so tired and yucky, but the gorgeous sunset certainly helped. Isn’t it gorgeous? Looks like there is water in the sky. This time of year certainly produces some spectacular skies, doesn’t it?
I had Thursday off work as it was Aria’s harvest festival at the church. Their class did an amazing job. They were so cute and sun their wee hearts out. Aria was a chilly chicken and said her lines perfectly. Tyler was part of the show as he has taken over Lucas spot as head of the technical department, so there he was doing the music and sounds. I couldn’t have been more proud.
Friday was a work day, but it was almost the weekend and the last day of school before the October week. The weather has been pretty wet, miserable and windy, hoping it improves sometime soon. How’s the weather where you are?
Tomorrow, Saturday, we are heading down to Northumberland for the weekend as we have no football. Hopefully, we’ll have lots of lovely tales for next week. And get caught up with things and back to writing. I miss it so. I am sorry for being a broken record on my health, no idea why it’s been so bad recently. I can only presume my compromised immune system is low. Things will get better. So, how are you all? Having a fun weekend?
Sorry to hear you’re still feeling poorly, but glad you are gradually improving. I’m glad the first 11 a side football match went well. That’s when my husband had to disband the old football team as they didn’t have enough players for 11 a side! How lovely that Tyler has taken over Lucas’s job doing the technical stuff at school. x
I really hope you can shake off your sickness soon, it must be really getting you down now. Well done to Lucas (and Robert) on the football win and to Aria for her Harvest Festival. I love her photos, she reminds of mine when they were little, particularly Boo, who loved picking up leaves in the Autumn and it would take us twice as long to walk back from school after dropping her older sister off. I hope you are having a lovely weekend and I can’t wait to see puppy photos x
I am loving Aria as a chilly chicken, so cute!!
Oh no Susan, I really hope you feel better soon my lovely. I love the first photo – very cute.
Thank you so much for linking up to #SilentSunday x
Love the collection of happy photos. Hope you kick this illness soon.
Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
aria has really stolen the photo limelight this week with her beautiful autumn colourings. Enjoy your football free weekend. I’m just off taking mine to a rugby match across Cornwall.
Hi Susan, I’m glad to read you’re on the mend. Your week sounded nice. A new puppy will always bring smiles to faces, but they can be such hard work! So I don’t envy your Mum… There is something about collecting nice shiny conkers, I remember being fascinated by the shiny ones as a child. Hope there was some good ‘uns in your haul… The sky does look beautiful, but that photo of Aria dressed as a chilly chicken did make me smile.

So glad you’re feeling a little better – I really hope it doesn’t take eight weeks for you either! x
We used to have a special service in church for harvest festival when I was at school but it seems they just pile up the donations now in the school hall. I think it so lovely they make a such an effort for it.
Oh no I hope the 8 week prognosis is a worst case scenario and you are back on top form soon Susan.
I do love your Skyyscapes and this is a beautiful one.
Aria looks to be having great fun in the Autumn leaves.
