Concert, Secret Garden and Weekend Away Our Weekly Photos – Week 39

Weekend Away

I’ve not been feeling great again this week, so you’ll have to bear with me. It’s been a bit of a manic week, let’s find out what’s been going on. I left you quite early as it was Thursday when I did my weekly post. Last weekend was a bank holiday here for the kids and us workers, just a local one though. I packed for our weekend away with Robert’s family. The kids were picked up and left with Robert’s sister and cousins late afternoon. Robert and I had dinner, then I went to see Shania Twain in concert. I met my friend and we headed in. The support acts were good too and it was good to get a catch-up and a wee wine too. It’s only my third ever concert, so I’m quite new to it, but she was brilliant. Once the concert finished, Robert picked me up and we headed through to Stirling to meet up with everyone else. The kids were still up and having fun.

We had a huge Airbnb house with lots of rooms for us all to share there are 8 adults and 5 kids so it’s quite busy. We played lots of board games, ate lots of food, laughed, chatted, played American football, drew pictures and so much more. It was lovely and the kids just get on so well. Aria and I explored the gardens and found a gate to a secret garden. It was very exciting. The picture looks much nicer than the overgrown wood storage we found behind, but it was fun. I really want to read that book to Aria now. Just love it. You can see the photos above, Aria was in her element. I’ve still got to get the other photos off my camera of the weekend.

Monday after tidying up we headed home, sad to be saying goodbye. We all live in the one town, so it’s not like we don’t see each other all the time and the kids are at school together. I wasn’t feeling well and was sick all day. I have no idea what is up with my health these days. I have come off my migraine tablets, which is for another post, but I am just so tired and feeling sick and ickly all the time. The rest of the week saw me completely washed out and feeling ill. I am so behind in stuff, so I am sorry if I’ve not replied on twitter, etc. I will this week I promise.

It was back to school and work on Tuesday. Homework, work and so much went on at work. Lots of drama and stressful moments. Tyler go picked to play in the school football team festival so he was excited by that.

Wednesday was the school football team festival, Tyler had a great time playing with his school friends and Robert managed to see a few games in his lunch break. I’m eating lots of vegetable soup and fruit all week in the hope it helps. At night Tyler still went to football, and I went to an event on at high school which was interesting. It was on a growth mindset and how to help your child with reading, etc. Such a huge learning curve having a child a high school.

Another working and school day Thursday, Robert had to work late so I took the boys and a few others to football training. Home to sort things out at home and catch up. I did catch the lovely sky above at sunrise and that certainly improves things.

Today is my birthday, but I am not sure what is going to happen yet,  so I will fill you in on that next week. Tomorrow Aria and I are going to see Disney on Ice after football and we have another busy weekend.

Here’s hoping next week will see my health improve and things with work, etc calm down. How are things going with you? What have you been up to recently? project-365-2017-badge

I hope your birthday went fabulously well and your weekend too. I’m so sorry to hear that you have been sick again. It does seem that something is not right ( You are not pregnant are you!) Sorry, I always used to get annoyed when anyone asked me that when I was sick, thankfully they stopped after I reached 50 haha. It was good to hear of your family weekend, it’s lovely that you are all so close. My family was like then when I was a kid and I have so many happy memories of that time. I hope you are feeling much better this week x

Lovely photo’s again, you look so beautiful on your night out. I hope you feel better bless you, try some Metadine it helps pick you up after being run down. I swear by it, it’s helped me when I’ve needed it. It’s available at most chemists and is full of pick me up vitamins.

Hi Susan, I haven’t listened to Shania Twain in years, it’s a shame I don’t listen to as much music as I used to, but I’ve sort of gone off it. The rest of the family are always listening to some music or another… Your weekend sounds like it was fun, I bet you have a great time when you get together at Christmas?… It’s a pain when you constantly feel not well, but it is hard to get better when you are a busy Mum. I do hope you had a wonderful birthday and spent it doing exactly how you wanted to. Hope you start to feel well again soon.

Glad you had a great weekend and enjoyed the family time, what a lovely idea despite all living so close together. Nice that you got to go to your concert first and get a drink with Robert driving.
The secret garden looks interesting and how lovely to decide to read the book because of it.
    Hope you feel better soon.

I hope you’ve had a better week this week. Sometimes you just seem to get into rut and go round in circles when you feel ill.
