Last week I left you at the end of my weekly post where I had been ill, so ill. I am feeling much better, but still very tired and weak. Getting there though. The renal clinic went as well as it could, just need to wait for my results. I wasn’t great being out that first day, but it got better.
Last Saturday we had Tyler’s football match. It was dry and the sun was shining first thing, so Aria skipped her way down to the pitch as you can see in the photo above. The game didn’t quite go their way, but Tyler played well and they all had a great time. His Aunt and cousins came to see him too. This was the first time I’d In the afternoon Aria had a party, I went with her and picked up her bestie and her mum. Watched them jump about on a bouncy castle and eat some cake. They had a great time. While I was there, I found out that Morrisons do home delivery and it’s free. I thought I’d give it a go since I really wanted to rest rather than shop. When I got home I booked a slot and had 3/4 hour to do my shop for delivery Sunday. Got it done in time and was looking forward to it coming.
Sunday was Lucas football game, the three of us baled as it was pouring and freezing. I did the nice thing and put the heating on for Lucas and Robert coming home soaking wet. I made some popcorn, we watched Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The shopping arrived and they even brought some cookies. It was fab and much needed with how exhausted I was feeling.
Monday morning always comes round so quickly and it was back to work and school. Lucas is still coming home from high school and enthusiastically filling us in on his day, which is amazing and long may it continue. Work was busy as I had lots of interviews this week that I’d cancelled with being off sick.
Tyler and Aria are fine and enjoying being back to school. Well, Aria is at least. We were glad when it got to Friday and as you can see, she tried her little heart shape.
Wednesday morning, showed a drop in the temperature and there was even some dew on the grass. I captured a beautiful sunrise. It certainly feels a tad autumnal these days. There’s a nip in the air and I am sure Jack Frost will be rearing his head shortly. It is my favourite season. Gorgeous colours, beautiful blue skies and less rain. Do you like autumn?
Twilight has been having some fun with pipe cleaners, it is the simple things. Lots of things been going on with my mum away on holiday, we are looking after her cats. Friday, saw Robert and me at his Aunt’s funeral. Lucas at one to one training and then he headed off to Friday night ice-skating. He is certainly getting into the tween spirit. Aria is loving playing outside in the evenings with friends, but the darker nights are creeping in.
I am grateful for the sickness to have stopped and although I’m drained, I am much better. Now to get back to some writing. I am getting there with that, albeit slowly.
How has your week been? What have you been up to?

thank you. So am I. I do love a good sunset.
Hi Susan, that recovery period after being sick can be as draining as being ill, and it’s so hard to rest when you’re a parent. Online shopping certainly comes in handy and if it’s free all the better!… It’s hard for me to remember how chilly September can be in the UK, but the thought of turning on the heating now makes me want to weep (you wait, one the temperatures drop here I’ll be the first one stoking that fire)… Sunday sounds like it was perfect (apart from the weather). Cosying up and watching a film, that is one thing I do look forward to in the winter… It’s a toss up between spring and autumn being my favourite season. I love seeing everything come back to life after the winter, but the colours and feel of autumn take some beating.
Thank you for stopping by and linking up.
xx
The temperature has changed a lot. It is strange when it starts to change x
SO happy to read you are on the mend. Stay well, friend! Gorgeous shots! Her eyes, stunning! #pointshoot xo
