Last weekend was a good one, I left off my last weekly post when the boys had friends over. It was a really good day and the boys all played great. Aria joined in too. Having friends over for the kids is something I struggle with since I’m at work often and the weekends are filled with football and family time. I do feel a lot of mummy guilt over this, but I do the best I can. I even captured a lovely photo of Lucas on Friday, he’s a bit more difficult to catch on camera these days, but I really like this one.
Saturday I went and met the lovely Jennifer from MamaFurFur at a cafe and we chatted for what seemed like hours. It was so good to finally meet her after chatting on Twitter for a long time. We are travelling down to BlogOn together. Having lots in common with work, blogging and living in the same town certainly made things easier. We are both looking forward to going. In the evening Robert and I went out for dinner and to the cinema. A bit of adult company and being together was just what the doctor ordered. Robert had been feeling a bit stressed out with work and football club stuff, he needed some cheering up. So we went to Chiquitos for some food and cocktails and then to see Blockers, a comedy film, which was funny. It was a nice evening.
Sunday the boys and Robert went to watch hashtag united game which is one they watch online. They really enjoyed it and then they went to be mascots for a charity match. They didn’t quite enjoy it as much as they thought, but it was an experience. While the boys were out, Aria and I had a girl day together. We went to the cinema to watch Peter Rabbit. I enjoyed it, but Aria wasn’t as keen. There didn’t seem to be enough singing and dancing in it for her. She did, however, love The Greatest Showman. She knows what she likes that one. We did a bit of shopping and she got some nail varnish. We painted our nails and she went to bed before the boys came in. It was a lovely wee day.
Monday it was back to work. The kids did some crafting with my mum and then Tuesday I had the day off work. We did some baking, made some bracelets and did some crafts. You can check out some of our Flower Crafts, we even made a windmill. Tyler had training that night and Lucas joined in as they were short players.
Wednesday the kids went to Robert’s mum and dad’s and had the best day out ten pin bowling and out for dinner with them and their cousins. Such a fab day they had. Lucas had football training in the evening.
Thursday when I was at work, I was typing away on my laptop and looked out the window and saw the most incredible sight. I saw the baby deer in the photo above. It was beautiful. I work in a built-up area, but there is surrounding woodland. How adorable is Bambi?
Both Robert and I were off work Friday. I had some supermarket shopping and chores to do, while Robert was doing some football things with Lucas. Tyler was at his friends. We got a few things done, something’s we have to do these not so fun tasks. Purchasing a few items for Lucas up and coming school residential trip, sob! Friday evening we watched Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone together which was a great way to end the week.
This weekend Lucas has a football match tomorrow. Let’s hope it stays dry. We are also off to the Wallace Monument on Sunday. What are your plans for the weekend? How was your week been? Are you enjoying the Easter holidays?
What a packed week! #MySundayPhoto
It was a lovely week. Thank you x
What a collection of lovely smiles… everyone looks happy with the weeks events.
Great photo of the deer too. I love to have them come to visit.
Have a great Sunday 😀
It was a lovely sight and I hope they come against soon x
The kids are knackered having either had busy days out or busy days at daycare all week – it’s been meltdown central here over the past day or two. But they’ve been good overall. I think they’ll treat the return to school as something of a break!
Oh yes, meltdowns are not easy are they? That sounds like a good plan xx
Ah so I’ve missed another Blog on! One day I’ll get to one. Love the deer, it looks like a Roe Deer. Hope the football went well and enjoy the Monument tomorrow.
I wish you were going lovely, it’s been too long. I have no idea, you are the expert, but they were really nice xx
I think it sounds like you do tonnes with the kid’s so no need for mummy guilt. I also with the Easter hols haven’t seen Aiden’s friends from nursery and keep thinking I must arrange a play date. That is a lovely photo of Lucas, my boy has taken to often not wanting his photo taken so know how tricky it is. #365
Aww thank you. it is difficult trying to balance it all. It is tricky as they get older. xx
The deer photos are beautiful. And happy kids!
Thank you. It was lovely to see the deer xx
How is Lucas going on a solo residential trip? Eek! But I’m sure he’ll love it. I can’t wait to see you at BlogOn, it’s been soooo long. And so cool you have deer visiting you at your office!
I know, my baby. I am sure he will too. Well I hope so. It has been soooo long, can’t wait. I hope they come back x
My girls can’t wait to get back to school not sure I ever felt like that haha! Fab shots. I was going to BlogOn sadly can’t make it due to ill health gutted I’m missing it fab conference #mysundayphoto

Thank you for linking up to #MySundayPhoto
I really hope they come back and visit soon xx
I love the kids photo’s, the boys are growing up fast now and your little princess is adorable as ever. I love that you managed to catch a photo of deer outside your window. We have lots of grassland around here but I’ve never seen a deer.
Have a great weekend x
So fast lovely, too fast. I hope they visit again soon. Thanks hon xx
That deer is stunning. We headed to an NT property yesterday and today we are finally seeing Peter Rabbit
Hope you enjoyed Peter Rabbit. I hope the deer visit soon xx
What a busy week Susan. It’s a shame when they reach the “I’m too cool for photos stage”
That’s a lovely photo of the deer. Amazing being that close to wild animals.
#mysundayphoto
I don’t think he’s ever been cool about the photos. He is good when he’s least expecting it. The deer are lovely x
How lovely to look out and see the deer! Looking forward to seeing you at Blogon.
Can’t wait to see you, Erica. The deer are fab x

Gorgeous photos, I really love the deer one’s x
Thank you. I hope they come back for a visit xx
Seeing deer in the wild always feels rather special to me. Gorgeous capture of Bambi x
They are incredible aren’t they? x
Busy week, but sounds like lots of fun. We loved Peter Rabbit – but then N has always liked PR. I didn’t dare take him to the Greatest Showman – think he’d get bored. Will have to watch it myself at some point though
I think my little Miss is old before her time. My boys certainly wouldn’t like the greatest showman, they’d prefer Peter Rabbit. It is really good though, you should definitely watch it xx
You’ve been busy! Great pictures. #silentsunday
Thank you x
no school holidays for me here these days, but i have enjoyed having Peter at home for a long weekend for Eid Al Miraj. sounds like it’s been a lovely week and nice that you and Robert managed some time together and got some jobs done
Hope you enjoyed the holidays. We did thank you x
Amazing pictures of the deer! #365
Thank you x
So lovely that you have someone to travel to Blog On with! I am definitely going now – given myself a pep talk – so it will be lovely to see you x
Excellent, looking forward to seeing you x
It is difficult to arrange play dates when you work. I always feel guilty that little man can only have friends here on a Monday. Bambi is gorgeous, how lucky are you to have seen that and at work. I hope the football match was a success. Thank you for linking up to #pointshoot 📷 also popping in from #keepingitreal
It is such a juggle isn’t it. He is gorgoeus. I hope they come back soon. Hugs xx
awww lovely full of happiness X #pointshoot
Thank you x
So pleased you are coming down for BlogOn – you’ll have to introduce Mama Fur Fur to us 🙂
Asbolutely, she is lovely. Can’t wait to see you xx
Hi Susan, don’t be too hard on yourself with Mum guilt. Just think by not having too many sleepovers you are keeping it special for your children! How lovely that you have a fellow blogger to travel to BlogOn with. I hope you have a fab time. Okay, I am a tad jealous!.. You have to laugh when we enjoy a children’s film more than the children. I remember loving Happy Feet, but my two were very unimpressed… Seeing that deer would have made my day. I got excited when I saw my first swallow of the year whilst at work.
Thank you for linking up with #keepingitreal.
xx
This is true. It is so hard. Thank you, I hope you get to come one day. The deer was incredible. I hope they come back xx
Busy busy week. Nice for them to spend time with their cousins and their grandparents, valuable family time.
Glad you had a night out together, you deserve some down time.
Brilliant capture of the deer. I remember being at a homeopathy appointment and watching a fox out of the window behind the women, and was so tempted to whip out my phone and photograph it.
I think so too. Thank you lovely. It is fab, I hope we see them again soon xx
What a wonderful weekend! These kids are so cute. They really had fun!
Thankyou, it was fun x
Great photos, the deer ones in particularly! Great you had your camera to hand! #itsok
I know, phones are very handy for pictures these days too x
I am always so impressed that you pack so much into a week! And work! I really wanted to go to Blogon but is coincides with my youngest birthday so thought I best not. But have been before and had a blast, so hope you had a lovely time too. #Ordinarymoments
I like to keep busy it would appear. Aww what a shame. Next time, lovely xx
I expect the lovely deer was as surprised to see an office full of people as you were to see it!
I know, crazy x
