Bambi, Rare Photos, Cinema And Baking Our Weekly Photos – Week 15

Cinema Trip

Last weekend was a good one, I left off my last weekly post when the boys had friends over. It was a really good day and the boys all played great. Aria joined in too. Having friends over for the kids is something I struggle with since I’m at work often and the weekends are filled with football and family time. I do feel a lot of mummy guilt over this, but I do the best I can. I even captured a lovely photo of Lucas on Friday, he’s a bit more difficult to catch on camera these days, but I really like this one.

Saturday I went and met the lovely Jennifer from MamaFurFur at a cafe and we chatted for what seemed like hours. It was so good to finally meet her after chatting on Twitter for a long time. We are travelling down to BlogOn together. Having lots in common with work, blogging and living in the same town certainly made things easier. We are both looking forward to going. In the evening Robert and I went out for dinner and to the cinema. A bit of adult company and being together was just what the doctor ordered. Robert had been feeling a bit stressed out with work and football club stuff, he needed some cheering up. So we went to Chiquitos for some food and cocktails and then to see Blockers, a comedy film, which was funny. It was a nice evening.

Sunday the boys and Robert went to watch hashtag united game which is one they watch online. They really enjoyed it and then they went to be mascots for a charity match. They didn’t quite enjoy it as much as they thought, but it was an experience. While the boys were out, Aria and I had a girl day together. We went to the cinema to watch Peter Rabbit. I enjoyed it, but Aria wasn’t as keen. There didn’t seem to be enough singing and dancing in it for her. She did, however, love The Greatest Showman. She knows what she likes that one. We did a bit of shopping and she got some nail varnish. We painted our nails and she went to bed before the boys came in. It was a lovely wee day.

Monday it was back to work. The kids did some crafting with my mum and then Tuesday I had the day off work. We did some baking, made some bracelets and did some crafts. You can check out some of our Flower Crafts, we even made a windmill. Tyler had training that night and Lucas joined in as they were short players.

Wednesday the kids went to Robert’s mum and dad’s and had the best day out ten pin bowling and out for dinner with them and their cousins. Such a fab day they had. Lucas had football training in the evening.

Thursday when I was at work, I was typing away on my laptop and looked out the window and saw the most incredible sight. I saw the baby deer in the photo above. It was beautiful. I work in a built-up area, but there is surrounding woodland. How adorable is Bambi?

Both Robert and I were off work Friday. I had some supermarket shopping and chores to do, while Robert was doing some football things with Lucas. Tyler was at his friends. We got a few things done, something’s we have to do these not so fun tasks. Purchasing a few items for Lucas up and coming school residential trip, sob! Friday evening we watched Harry Potter and the Philosophers stone together which was a great way to end the week.

This weekend Lucas has a football match tomorrow. Let’s hope it stays dry. We are also off to the Wallace Monument on Sunday. What are your plans for the weekend? How was your week been? Are you enjoying the Easter holidays? project-365-2017-badge

The kids are knackered having either had busy days out or busy days at daycare all week – it’s been meltdown central here over the past day or two. But they’ve been good overall. I think they’ll treat the return to school as something of a break!

I think it sounds like you do tonnes with the kid’s so no need for mummy guilt. I also with the Easter hols haven’t seen Aiden’s friends from nursery and keep thinking I must arrange a play date. That is a lovely photo of Lucas, my boy has taken to often not wanting his photo taken so know how tricky it is. #365

Hi Susan, don’t be too hard on yourself with Mum guilt. Just think by not having too many sleepovers you are keeping it special for your children! How lovely that you have a fellow blogger to travel to BlogOn with. I hope you have a fab time. Okay, I am a tad jealous!.. You have to laugh when we enjoy a children’s film more than the children. I remember loving Happy Feet, but my two were very unimpressed… Seeing that deer would have made my day. I got excited when I saw my first swallow of the year whilst at work.

Thank you for linking up with #keepingitreal.

Brilliant capture of the deer. I remember being at a homeopathy appointment and watching a fox out of the window behind the women, and was so tempted to whip out my phone and photograph it.
