For this month’s Tots100 #BostikBlogger craft is birds and flight. I wasn’t really sure what I was going to do for this month, so I consulted my top craft advisor, that is my 9-year-old. We came up with a few crafts he loves and one that Little Miss wanted for her toys. I’d love to know what you think of them. Bird and Flight Crafts For Kids – Aeroplane
What you’ll need:-
- Paper or card
- Pens
Step 1
I used cardboard to make this aeroplane for the purpose of showing you. Fold the paper or card in half, long ways.
Step 2
Fold down the nose of the aeroplane. Fold down on both sides.
Step 3
Fold down again at both sides starting from the points.
Step 4
It should look like above.
Step 5
Fold it once more, again from the point or nose.
Step 6
The aeroplane is now complete.
Step 7
We decorated our aeroplane to make it it’s own.
Step 8
Our aeroplane ready to fly. We love these and make so many all the time. Kids just love those.
Bird and Flight Crafts For Kids – Air Balloon
What you’ll need:-
- Bostik Micro Dots
- Stick
- Balloon
- String
- Carton
- Pens
- Bostik White Tac
Step 1
Blow up your balloon.
Step 2
We had a cardboard carton that we put a wooden craft stick through as the balloon basket.
Step 3
We used a piece of Bostik White Tac at the bottom to hold it in place.
Step 4
We decided to decorate our basket.
Step 5
Some stripes of colour. The kids didn’t find it all the easy to colour.
Step 6
We used Bostik Micro dots to secure the balloon to the stick.
Step 7
We tied some string around the balloon to secure it to the basket.
Step 8
Here you have our Air Balloon craft. We even have a little toy ready to fly away with her craft. What do you think? The possibilities are endless with this one. This is obviously not suitable for young kids, but my 5-year-old loves this.
Bird and Flight Crafts For Kids – Dickie Birds
What You’ll Need:-
- Bostik Micro Dots
- Clothes Pegs
- Yellow Card
- Scissors
- Googly Eyes
- Stick (Optional)
- Feathers or decorations
- Pens
Step 1
Colour in your pegs, whatever colour you’d like. The brighter the better.
Step 2
Our coloured pegs, ready to decorate.
Step 3
Cut out two little beaks.
Step 4
They don’t need to be perfect and you could draw them on if you don’t have the yellow paper.
Step 5
Use the Bostik Micro Dots to stick on the beak to the pegs.
Step 6
Once the beaks are on, you want to add the googly eyes or you can draw them.
Step 7
Your two dickie birds are ready. Now time to add the decorations or you can leave them as is.
Step 8
We had some spare feathers, so of course, this is what the kids wanted to use.
Step 9
We used the Micro Dots to add on the wings.
Step 10
Adding on the tail and head feathers if you fancy.
Step 11
We added them to the stick so you could see our two Dickie Birds sitting on the wall, one named Peter and one name Paul. What do you think?
Pin for later.
So there you have it, our second craft of the year. Which ones will you try? I’d love to know if you make any of them. Let me know here or on social media.
Disclaimer:- We were sent a box of craft materials from Craft Merrily as part of being a Tots100 #BostikBlogger
What a lovely idea craft from your 9 year old! How I wish my kids are interested in crafts again! Love your air balloon.
Thank you, lovely. My oldest isn’t as keen on crafting, but the younger two are xx
They are ace – I love that balloon. It’s so simple, but so effective. It’d look amazing if you did it with several children in a nursery or infant’s department 🙂
I would love to make more of them. I think I might suggest something similar for the Easter activity day at school xx
I love all the ideas and clear instructions. What a clever little chap, can I borrow him through the summer holidays, he can come and do crafts with all the children I look after.
Thank you lovely. Oh he’d love that. He loves to crafts. I’ll send him down xx
What fabulous ideas – We made squishies recently, I should blog about it – I took loads of pictures but the Mum of the little girl coordinating the crafting (also 9 by the way!) doesn’t want her pictures online. I should have checked before I started it all
Bless. They would be fab. Maybe blurr her face? They sound fab xx
Great and fun artwork ideas!
Thank you.
Love the air balloon! #makeitmonthly
Nice little projects, I loved making paper planes as a kid! x #MakeItLinky
Thank you, they were a lot of fun to makex
These are lovely makes my eldest would love. She has had fun with paper aeroplanes with her dad and loves balloons too except when they pop. #MakeItLinky
They are simple and fun. Easy to pick up and make anytime and anywhere x
Love these ideas, the hot air balloon is so cute! #MakeItLinky
