Pancakes, Hearts, Odd Skies and Reading Weekly Photos – Week 7

17th February 2018 By Susan Mann 68 Comments

I left off last week having a killer migraine, well it still hasn’t quite lifted, but it is easing. Last week’s weekly photo post was a busy one, this one not so much. Sunday we didn’t do much, we watched a film, played some games and Aria made up a story as she read Toto. It was so cute. She’s coming on with her reading, but certainly can’t read a book like that. She likes to spot common words she’s been learning.

Monday I was working and the kids were off with my mum for the February holidays. They did some crafts and played. I had an early night. Tuesday, I was off since the kids were off. We went to see Coco, which is an awesome film. Oh how I wish it was real. Have you seen it? What did you think? I cried so much at the end. The kids enjoyed it too and even Ty who doesn’t like the cinema. We then made loads and loads of pancakes and had some flipping fun. You can see the kids enjoying it. There were some videos on Instagram stories. I’m dabbling with them, still not sure I like them. I am not a video fan yet. What about you?

Wednesday, Valentine’s Day and an in service day here. We don’t do much for Valentine’s Day other than swap cards, chocolates and I got roses which was lovely. Work for Robert and I, then football training in the snow. Kids went to their grandparents, my in laws for the day. Aria made a little heart shaped pancake.

I captured a really odd sky, with weird colours of trees. It’s odd isn’t it? Thursday was back to school for the kids, after school club and football training again in the snow for Tyler and Robert. They came home frozen. Robert then headed out to help my mum’s partner load the van in prep for the move the next day. We both had Friday off as my mum was moving house.

I took the kids to school, while Robert went to the gym. I caught up on some blogging, emails and some of my writing while I waited on a phone call from my mum. It took a while and she was very stressed. My head was really sore, so I rested and put my awesome shoulder and neck massager to ease. My mum finally got the keys at 4:30 so it was all hands on deck. We finished getting her stuff in at 10pm and headed home with tired kids.

Today, Saturday has been filled with grumpy overtired kids and football training. The boys have played some Fortnite on the Xbox and we watched some tv. Nothing exciting, we are tired. Tonight, it will be early to bed and Robert and I are having a takeaway and a wee drink. Catch up on some tv. What about you?

Have you had a good week? project-365-2017-badge

Hi Susan, it sounds as if you all need to spend today doing nothing. I love the children’s faces as they proudly show off their pancakes. Hope they tasted as good as they looked…. Just the thought of moving house makes my hair curl (even more), hope it all went smoothly in the end!… And may this week be migraine free for you.

Fab photos of your pancake makers! We haven’t seen Coco, the last film we saw in the cinema was Early Man. I do cry, watching family films though. The last one that left me as a weeping mess was A dog’s purpose, oh my god, I cried and I cried, quite embarrassing. Most beautiful blue sky!
