The chickenpox ate gone, she’s still spotty, but all dried up, thank goodness. Last weekend was a busy one. We headed down to Manchester at 6am to get to Digital Kids Show. I will blog about this soon. The boys loved it, met some fab you tubers, saw Diversity and got to try out some cool stuff. We stayed overnight and the kids were so excited for us to be staying in the one room. Can’t say I was quite as excited. The next day we headed to the Trafford centre to see the Christmas decorations, a spot of shopping and some lunch. As you can see they were impressive decorations and we enjoyed the Christmas magic. The taking tree was awesome. We made the long drive home and into bed for the start of the week.
Thankfully, the kids had an in service day on Monday and stayed at home with my mum doing some crafts while Robert and I headed to work. Monday’s are always busy at work. The weather has also been so dreich and miserable there have been no sky pictures on my instagram, except for a wee rainbow through the dull clouds.
School on Tuesday, and it’s starting to get busy with the pre-Christmas activities. The boys have musical theatre practice ahead of the performance next month. On Wednesday they all went to see Jack and the beanstalk pantomime with the whole school, a fun yearly tradition they enjoy. Thursday, Lucas played I the School netball tournament and the trained in the school football team. He is constantly playing sport. Both boys have found a love of futsal, which is a fast paced, smaller pitched game of football using a reduced bounce ball. Similar to five asides and indoors. Here is Lucas trying out his new strip. Honestly, I don’t know how he does it all. He plays trains for football 3 times a week, plays a game once a week, trains for netball and plays futsal. That’s not including the constant football and playing at school. It’s incredible.
Friday saw Robert and I heading away to Stonefield castle for my overnight in a castle that my mum bought me for my birthday. I can’t wait and it’ll be nice to spend some time together as a couple. My overnight came with babysitting, which was fab. I’ll fill you in on that next week. It’s started to snow here. Beautiful and magical.
I have a feeling it’s going to be a good weekend. Between the overnight, then Sunday, Aria and I have a mother daughter date at the cinema to see the new frozen feature film and Tyler has his final football match of the season. Lucas match was called off due to the weather. What are you up to this weekend?
You can read about our last week in our weekly photos post. How has your week been? Have you been up to much? Any Christmas activities?

A castle, snow and 3 wonderful children, things are sounding good!
Hope you had a fab time at the Digital Kids Show. We love the stillness in the first photo x #MySundayPhoto
A busy week! Looking forward to seeing your thoughts on the Digital Kids Show. I will have to watch out for it next year.
Oh sounds like you had a really busy week! One with lots of fun packed into it.
Hi Susan, sounds like you have a busy weekend planned! Ours is busy, but not with anything fun apart from Sundays walk around Keri. Futsal sounds more fun than full blown football, when you have small legs a huge football pitch must seem huge.
xx
Hope you had an amazing time at the castle! Free babysitting is good too! That’s something we don’t have very often. I think my younger son would have loved Digital Kids. You were lucky to find a hotel room for five, although getting to sleep can always be a bit of a challenge! Love how much sport Lucas does! My younger son does sport seven days a week – football, rugby, basketball and athletics.
Definitely glad to hear the chickenpox are gone. That’s the Trafford Centre is it? Reminded me of one of the shopping centres in Glasgow. It sounds to me like you’ve had an incredibly busy week! #MySundayPhoto
That is a mighty impressive Christmas tree. It sounds like you’ve had a busy week
Thank you for linking up
My kids would love Digital Kids but it’s a bit far for us to go. It looks like you’ve had another lovely, if busy, week again. I’m glad the chicken pox has gone. x
Very Christmassy pictures this week. Digital Kids sounds fun and I hadn’t heard of it until you mentioned it. Hearing what Lucas does each week makes me feel tired!
Ah, it’s all Christmassy! My favourite time of the year! #mysundayphoto
Ahh! I’m glad the chicken pox are all gone!
It sounds like you have had a busy but good week…
I hope you’ve had a fab weekend x
That’s a relief chickn pox is over. Sounds like a busy week again
It was so lovely to see you – albeit so briefly again! Your weekend in a castle is amazing – I can’t wait to read about it 🙂
You’ve had such a busy weekend and the Trafford centre is always wonderful at this time of Year. Stone field castle sounds so lovely too so I hope you had a brilliant time x
Sounds like a busy one! I absolutely *love* the photo of Aria! <3
Glad they enjoyed their trip to Manchester, one room is a nightmare but glad they thought it was fun.
Love her jacket, very wintery. We got a smattering of snow but nothing much to speak of.
Oh wow your daughters coat took me back over 40 years to one I had as a child that looked exactly like that! #365
That is a gorgeous tree and I loved the shot of Aria peering through the banister too. My boys love it when we all sleep in one room, it is special. Glad the pox have gone. Thank you for linking up to #PointShoot 📸
I feel all festive, they look so happy together X #pointshoot
Lovely Christmassy shots #TheOrdinaryMoments
So lovely to see a post that includes Manchester, my dad was born there and I have still never been, I just can’t wait to go someday. Lovely pics #pointshoot
I don’t know how we’re all coping with all the Christmas stuff at the moment, it’s just so busy! Your trip to Manchester sounds great! x
Sounds like a good trip to Manchester! The tree looks gorgeous and I love the one peering through the banister! Sorry I didnt comment last time but thought I would come and comment on this weeks instead! Looking forward to seeing tomorrow’s! #mysundayphoto
That’s a fab snowflake coat that Aria has on. It must have been a long drive to and from Manchester but it sounds worthwhile.
