Smyths Toys Superstores – Top Toys for Christmas 2017

There is no hiding from it, Christmas is coming and it will be here before we know it. I don’t know about you, but I feel like this year is flying in. With all three of my kids having their birthdays within a few weeks of Christmas, on even having a Christmas Eve birthday, I start planning Christmas gifts as early as possible. I do love seeing what the Smyth’s Top Toys for Christmas list are, not that my kids get them all, but it gives you a good idea of what to buy and since you know they are going to be popular, it’s better to get them bought or ordered sooner rather than later.

Obviously, these are just predictions, but they are usually pretty accurate on what they predict. I know it’s tricky to get things ordered online and having to hide before the big day. The kids know, that Santa is busy and that sometimes I have to help him out by buying some of the gifts and sending them to him. It helps on those odd times they accidentally find a parcel or see something arrive in the mail. I want to keep the magic alive for as long as possible. How do you buy in your Christmas shopping without your kids finding out? I’d love to know your secrets too?

What do you think? My thinking is that these are some awesome toys and I wish some where available when I was little. Toys just weren’t like these back in the 80’s. Which ones are your favourite?
Luvabella and LOL Surprise Big Surprise will be top toys for Aria. She’s already a huge fan of Luvabella and I think the LOL Surprise Big Surprise will be top of her list.

The boys are huge Nerf fans, I know that Nerf guns will be on their Christmas list. So I will be checking out the Nerf Modulus Regulator for them.

We are big fans of Anki after reviewing the Anki Overdrive last year. We truly love this toy and it’s played with constantly. It’s come on leaps and bounds from the old Scaletrix I had back in my childhood. I am keen to check out the Cozmo by Anki, it does come with a huge price tag, so that might not quite make it onto the list this year.
Lucas has just gotten into Lego at almost 11 and building every bit he can get his hands on, so this will feature highly on his list this year. It has been great to see him play and enjoy Lego after being so frustrated by it in the past. This is something I will continue to enjoy him getting.

Which of these toys do you think you will be adding to your child’s Christmas list if any? I’d love to know what you think your top toys will be this year, let me know in the comments below.

My kids see so many boxes and parcels that last year we kept the whole of Christmas in plain sight! They never ever even looked 😀
