Dinosaurs, School, Football And A Sleepy Cat – Our Weekly Photos Week 35

This week I’ve kind of struggled if I am honest, I’ve felt very stressed trying to juggle all the plates I do on a regular basis and felt like they were smashing on the floor. I suspect it was being so worried about Aria starting school and juggling being at work and not seeing her. The kids have been tired and testing boundaries. I know it’s a lot to get back into. Then kids homework, blog stuff, lots of work with being off some of last week, house stuff and some outlining of my book. I’ve just felt unable to breathe and like everything was getting on top of me. I took Friday off and got a few bits ticked off the ever growing to do list, but I still feel like my shoulders are up to my ears. You know what I mean, don’t you? Here’s hoping I feel a bit more at ease next week.

Last weekend football was back into full swing with Lucas having two matches Saturday, Tyler training Saturday, Tyler having 3 matches Sunday and then Lucas with Futsal in the evening. We still fit in some family time and we are with the boys, so it’s nice. I took Aria to school Monday and then headed to work. I headed to school for a meeting in the afternoon and picked them up. Starting on the homework and the kids catching up with some friends they’ve not seen over the summer. I do find the first week a busy one with catching up with friends and getting into the swing of things. Tuesday Aria went to school with my mum and off she trotted with her best friend into the school. I took a photo of her ready to leave. I called my mum as soon as she’d gone in to make sure she was ok. Of course, I needed have worried she went in without looking back.  Working all week and then off Friday.

I captured a sneaky photo of Twilight sleeping away on Friday when I was off. Sleeping on Lucas bed. Saturday has been about football training, I did the supermarket shopping.

Then we went to the Jurassic Kingdom at The Botanic Gardens in Glasgow. It was filled with Animatronic Dinosaurs. More on that soon. It was really interesting and they are very impressive. Lots of roaring, moving dinosaurs along the botanic garden’s path.  Aria was a little scared, but both the boys loved it. Do go and check it out while it is here, until the 10th September.

Tomorrow, Aria has her very first gymnastics class. She’s been on the waiting list for over a year and finally got a place. She is beyond excited. Fingers crossed she enjoys it after the wait. It will mean I’ll miss Tyler’s football matches, but Robert will be there. We all do our best to be at everything, but unless we have a cloning machine. Thankfully, Tyler is ok with it and I will get to see him hopefully soon. I’m looking forward to a nice evening chilling and watching tv with Robert.

How has your week been? Are you back to school yet? What are you up to this weekend?

A lovely set of photos, I think the new term can be stressful but it sounds like Aria is settling well at school so try not to fret.

Sorry to hear you’ve had a tough week. Starting school is a really big thing, so it’s understandable you would be feeling stressed. Hope you feel a bit better next week.
Hope Aria enjoys her gymnastics class.

And breathe… whoa what a busy week, I really hope you settle into a new routine soon and everything just falls into place without anything getting broken. The first week back after the holidays is always daunting. x I love how Aria’s backpack is almost as big as her, they are so cute when so little and everything seems so huge. Good luck for next week xx

I always sort of write off the first two weeks of school as I know I’m going to be so busy with the boys and catching up with everyone. It must be such a hard balancing act with work as well and the boys’ football! Like I said before- it’s ok if a couple of plates fall sweety, so please don’t worry when that happens, it’s totally normal!
    Lots of love! xoxo

think we all have periods where we feel there are not enough hours in a day to do what is needed, not really sure how you working parents manage cos i get stressed and need to play housework catch up some weeks and there is only 2 of us.
Glad she has settled well into school and hope she likes the gymnastics after waiting so long. Bob must be due to start back.
The dinosaurs sound good but the place is impossible to park near at the best of times. We went once for high tea.

awwww – I know exactly what you mean and I don’t even work full time like you do. It is hard trying to do it all, and ensure you do a good job. Don’t be so hard only yourself, because you are a great mum and work very hard. we all have days/weeks like this and hopefully it will only get better (hugs). Pleased that Aria is settling in well at school – love her (big!) rucksack. lovely photos of Tyler – looking too grown up xx

I am sorry to hear that this week has been a struggle and i do totally understand that feeling. There are so many balls to
Juggle when they go back to school and it takes us all a while to get back
Into the routine. Be kind to yourself 🌸 Thank you for linking up to #PointShoot 📸

I hope you’re feeling less stressed now and that the week went by ok. You are always so busy – and you really do keep those plates spinning. I have no idea how you do it x

I can totally relate to having too much on and if getting on top of you. That’s pretty much how I feel all the time. I’ve just brought a new diary with a notes section each week and it’s really helping me to remember what I need to do when. Hoping once Monkey is back at school it will help me too. Hope you have a better week this week. #ordinarymoments

Mine go back on Tuesday and I think this year it will be really strange as the holidays have seemed to last ages this year. I was hoping for a quiet week but it seems I have three meetings already. Juggling everything is so hard.
