Last weekend we had the boys last football matches of the season and got their hair cut too. They always look so grown up when they get their hair cut I think. Both played well in all their matches and love football so much. They will still have training over the summer and probably football camp, so they won’t miss it too much. To be honest, they play it outside with their friends pretty much everyday. This weekend we have football festivals for both teams and with Robert running the club we are pretty much full on football mode this weekend. So much so, we left to get setup at 7:45 this morning, Saturday. Lucas has played in 5 matches along with his cousin. It’s been a long and tiring day. All the kids had a ball, the weather was kind of nice, sunny until it started thunder and lightening. The all got medals at the end, which is always a delight to see their faces light up. I will post some pictures next weekend or check out instagram tomorrow.
We celebrated the bank holiday weekend with a wee dinner out last Sunday which was lovely. The kids love going out for dinner, it’s a nice wee treat for us all. On the Monday we travelled down to near the borders for some den building. I will do a separate post on this hopefully next week. We had a great time and it was a lot of fun. Just a shame it poured from the heavens. A car picnic it was. It’s all part of the adventure, isn’t it?
The rest of the week was work, school and nursery. Wednesday, Lucas played football in the school tournament all day, then netball for an hour and football training, you can imagine Thursday morning, didn’t go too smoothly with my early riser. Thursday evening saw the boys school have their after school musical theatre club performance. It was a medley of songs from different productions. As always the kids were outstanding and displayed so much confidence. Tyler was on stage with some lines, singing and dancing. Lucas does his usual technical skills with the music, lights and curtains. His headteacher always comments on how well he does. Another late night on top of being exhausted resulted in a lovely melt down from him before school. Thankfully I was off Friday as I had an appointment at Aria’s nursery and it wasn’t a Grandparent dealing with him. I always feel so guilty leaving for work if he’s in one of those moods.
I had a parent’s appointment for Aria to see how she is getting on at nursery and to discuss she’s ok to be starting school. She’s doing well in nursery and her confidence is growing. This has been my biggest worry. She’s a clever cookie when it comes to maths and writing, I was never concerned academically. But, my worry is her talking out, etc, but she’s joining in, in group discussions and answers questions and helps when given instructions. Plus she’ll have her wee bestie to go to school with. She is going to be one of the youngest and her bestie one of the oldest in the class, so hopefully that’ll help. To celebrate we went to softplay and Aria had fun on the trampolines.
My happy place a pretty sky, can’t beat it, can you? I love this one I took the other day, such a vibrant colour. What is your happy place?
And I couldn’t not include my favourite picture of Twilight so far, upside down. I don’t know why, I just liked it.
So this weekend is football, football and well football.ย What are you plans for the weekend? ย How has your week been?

Well done to Tyler and Lucas on their musical theatre club performance and fingers crossed for Aria when she starts school. That sky is gorgeous ๐
What a beautiful set of photos. It is great to hear that Aria is doing well at nursery. Have a great week lovely x
Sounds like a good week for you all, well done your little bright spark and the boys with their football early starts. I’ll look forward to seeing more of the den building to follow.
Ah the kiddies all sound like they’ve done really well this week. And the upside down photos of Aria and Twilight made me smile…like two peas in a pod ๐
The twilight pic is awesome, I can see why you included it. No football for us, but jogging with an Olympian, although you’ll have to visit the blog tomorrow to find out why! Have a great week #MySundayPhoto
Sounds like a great week. So pleased to hear Aria is doing well, it’s always such a relief isn’t it? X #MySundayPhoto
Sounds like Aria is doing well, Sebby suddenly seems to have come out of himself too which is reassuring. Love the sky pic x
It’s so lovely that the boys have done so well with their football and it’s great that Aria is getting on well at nursery. I do love a good sky scape but I’m rubbish at capturing photos of them. And I love the pic of Twilight upside down x
Aw how lovely. Love that sky shot, beautiful colours! #mysundayphoto
They look so smart with their haircuts. Love the burning sky
Thank you for linking up
Your boys do look very smart with their haircuts! It’s amazing that they play so much football, even over summer. Our football has all stopped now until the autumn. It’s great to hear that Aria is ready for school.
Your boys are growing each week! And cute photos of Twilight & Aria =) #mysundayphoto
A fun assortment of photos. Love the upside down cat. #MySundayPhoto
Boys always look so smart after having their hair cut don’t they? My son got his done this week too. Great news that Aria has been getting in so well at pre-school, my daughter will be the youngest too when she goes and it does worry me a little.

What another amazing sky. I can’t get enough of such views. We are far too built up round here to get such views. Your boys must have endless energy to play so many football matches!
your daughter is beautiful even up side down. Glad she is ready for starting school.
All the football sounds exhausting, no wonder they not wanting to get up.
The sky is a fab colour.
That is a lot of football! Does Aria play too? #365
Your boys look so grown up with their hair cuts, love that upside down photo of Aria! x
That sky is stunning, what an amazing colour. I know exactly what you mean about feeling guilty leaving grandparents to deal with the meltdowns. I find that really hard! Thank you for linking up to #PointShoot ๐ธ
Love the photo of Aria, she’s such a cutie, and the boys are looking so handsome too. And, oh, that sky, such a beautiful colour, it’s so perfect. #PointShoot

I think you are right about the hair cuts, I’ve noticed the same with H. Can’t believe you are starting to think about school for Aria – time has gone so fast.
