Being Sleepy, Pink Orchids and a Date Night – Our Weekly Photos Week 8

Sleepy

Pink Orchids

Date Night

This week has been an interesting one. The kids were off Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday was an inset day. Monday they had lots of fun doing crafts with my mum. She’s like a whirlwind. I called home at 11 to see how they were and they’d already made things with pottery, cakes and made necklaces. I was off on Tuesday, the weather wasn’t great so we went to soft play in the afternoon. They all had a lot of fun and as you can see Little Miss came home very sleepy. Wednesday saw the kids going to the beach with the inlaws. They had a great time, albeit it freezing. Football training for the boys too this week. Thursday and Friday the kids were at school and nursery.

I got treated to a beautiful pink orchid from hubby for valentine’s day. I love it and have managed to keep it alive so far. Such a vibrant colour. I treated the kids to some fun bath bombs. Aria had a sparkly glitter on which had a ring inside it. The boys got PokemonGo ones which dissolved to reveal a pokemon. They loved them as did I. Great fun and the smelled lovely.

Friday night saw hubby and I escape for the evening. We had a lovely wee meal at Handmade Burger Co. Which had a great gluten free menu for hubby. Then we went to see Trainspotting 2. It was really good. Having being a teenager when the first one came out and living just outside Glasgow it was a must see. I wasn’t too keen on it, but it was a culture classic. The second one was a much more enjoyable for me. We both enjoyed it and it was nice being out together. We don’t often get to have a date night and know we need to do it more often.

This weekend consisted for far of the boys being wet and muddy from football matches and training. Some board game fun and some shopping. How has your week been? What have you been up to recently?

Well done on keeping the orchid alive. I would have killed it by now, I’m so terrible. And I’ve never actually seen T1. I really need to i think!

I love that photo of you and your husband. You both look so young it’s hard to believe you have 3 growing children.

A busy week! Haven’t seen T2 yet although I did manage to see Lego Batman with the kids, which we all loved.

Glad you enjoyed T2! I loved Trainspotting and found T2 almost as good. I don’t get out with my husband as often as I should either – we went to the cinema, but the babysitters aren’t usually up for us going for a meal as well 🙁
Your little miss really does look sleepy there, bless her!

Lovely photos and what a lovely week you’ve had. How lucky to get a date night, you look so sweet together. I really must get some of those Pokemon bath bombs for my kids, they’d love them. I won’t be seeing T2 at the cinema so I have to wait a little longer. I remember Trainspotting really well though, and watched it on TV a couple of weeks ago.

Beautiful shots! 📸 How cool that you got to escape for the evening. I love orchids – my hubby works in flowers and the first ones he brought me were about 6 white orchid plants. Te thing is I’m rubbish with plants and killed them really quickly! #PointShoot

Lovely to be able to escape for a date night with your husband. Some restaurants do a really good gluten free menus these days whilst others think offering a jacket potato is fine!
