An Early Sunrise, Soft Things, Sad Days & a Lunch Date – Our Weekly Photos Week 7

Lunch date

This week has been a busy one with work again, I’ve worked long hours and extra days. I was even at work so early, that I got to see the most spectacular sunrise above. It certainly cheered me up. Pretty isn’t it? I love pretty skies and feature them often in my Instagram if you fancy following me over there. Any spare time has been spent with the kids. Tyler bought himself new cushions for the new sofa in the living room. The ones I made weren’t soft enough. He is such a tactile and sensory boy. He adores anything soft, from teddies, blankets, jackets and everything in between. Wee cutie.

Lucas has been having a tough time recently, his emotions are all over the place and he’s not sure why. Possibly hormones? He’s still quite young I thought. But, he has been so upset and then angry and it’s been hard. I’ve found it difficult as a parent, when a hug doesn’t make it all better. It certainly helps, but he doesn’t know why he is feeling the way he is. We can only talk and listen.

I spent Friday afternoon with Aria, we went for a lunch date with her friend from nursery and painted our nails afterwards. The boys and I had some fun playing with boxes after school. We don’t get half term as such here, but get a couple of days off next week. I am off one, but granny has some crafts planned for one of their days off. They’ll love it.

This weekend is filled with our first football match of the season, which is friendly for Lucas. And a few other bits and pieces. Not sure about Sunday yet. How has your week been? What have you been up to recently?

Love the sunrise and wonderful use of filters. Sorry to read about your sun. May be talking completely out of turn, but I know someone whose daughter is going through an early puberty and displaying the symptoms you talk about so he may not be too young. #MySundayPhoto

Adorable little ones. As a mummy to two, one of whom is an 7, nearly 8 year old girl, hormones are all over the place constantly. It seems like teens are starting extremely early. I start work at 7 am 🙁 and love seeing the sunrise, gives a real sense of calm before the chaos ensues!

We have a lot of moods from H. I originally thought hormones were a 13+ thing, but it seems to be much earlier than I thought.
