Birthdays, Baking And Our Christmas Holidays Together – Our Weekly Photos Week 2

I have to say I am loving being off with the children. It doesn’t happen that I get a whole two weeks off with them, when we aren’t away somewhere. It has been a joy and I am not ready for it to end. The start of the week Robert was still off and we had the traditional steak pie on the first day of the year. Unfortunately, gluten free puff pastry still hasn’t been mastered for his dinner. One day… It was Robert’s birthday on Tuesday and with it being a bank holiday in Scotland we were all still off. We had a lovely family birthday dinner and evening of two birthday cakes. One gluten free for him, so he got an extra big slice and a not so gluten free one for the rest of us. We were sad to see daddy go back to work, but it didn’t stop the kids and I from having fun. We did some scootering when it was chilly, but dry. We did some baking. That was a lot of fun, we made cookie pizzas and fairy cakes. Plus they tasted good. Friday the weather was pretty miserable, so we went to soft play and then went to my wee cousin’s leaving party. He is off to start a wonderful future aboard. The kids had a ball and Aria was delighted to still be up into the next day, so she kept telling everyone. I don’t know about you, but I am not wanting Monday to come. I don’t want to get back to normality of work and school. Can we freeze time just for a little bit longer? How has your week been?

Great photos hun! What a great week. It’s always hard getting back into the swing of things after a break isn’t it?I struggled that first week back too. Getting there now and it’s already halfway through January, ha ha! Lucky for me we have another holiday weekend here in the US now, so we have daddy for a bit longer this weekend! Sounds like you’ve been busy though, with all that baking! Yummy! x

Ah always such a faff having to do a separate meal. I’m obviously the awkward one right now and half the time I can’t be bothered to make myself something to be the same so end up eating random food instead! Special diets are such a pain aren’t they? Thank you for joining us for #HappyDaysLinky x
