As you can guess, this week has been all about birthdays. It was Tyler’s 8th birthday last Saturday. He wanted a large telescope, stationary and a scooter. This boy is so funny, creative and a wee monkey. He is looking forward to trying out his telescope when we get some clear evenings. I cannot believe he’s 8 already, but he’s got such an old soul, it feels like he’s been here forever. He wanted to go bowling with his siblings and twin cousins. We had a lot of fun bowling together and then had a special birthday dinner in the evening with all the family. Celebrating both Tyler and Aria’s birthdays, it was lovely. Aria’s 4th birthday, was on Sunday. Seriously, I’m sure it was only two minutes a go I was pregnant. We had a fun day of shopping at Build a Bear for her birthday with her brothers and then dinner out in the evening, just us which was nice. Lots of cake was eaten and lots of fun was had. It really was a perfect weekend. Knackering, but the kids had a great time and were so grateful for all their gifts.
The rest of the week has been about work and school. On Thursday I had some time off work to take Aria to her school taster session. She did some crafts and then we all went to after school club. I don’t normally get to go with them, it’s usually one of the grandparents, so it was good to see what they do. I helped by serving the other kids and adults haggis neeps and tatties. We had that for Burns night on Wednesday night. We love haggis. Do you?
This weekend is going to be a lot less manic than last. Filled with football training, some boring supermarket shopping, some movies and playing with some new toys. We watched Sing this afternoon, it was a lot of fun. Evening is tired after a few late nights, looking forward to chilling. How has your week been?
