Half Term, Double Rainbows & Baking – Our Weekly Photos Week 43

This week has been half term. The weather hasn’t been great and I was working all except two days and we made the most of those days off. We captured a double rainbow which was amazing in the rain filled sky. We went on a bear hunt, thankfully there was no grizzlies, other than mum when I had to do 3 washings to get 1 set of clothes mud free. It was all fun and mud monsters. And we also made some pretty fairy cakes. It was our twin nieces 10th birthday on Friday so the boys went trampolining with them and we had a family party. My children are very close to their cousins as they are in the same class with my oldest, so it’s really lovely. How was your week?

What a lovely half-term you had. Love that photo of the double rainbow and the bear hunt sounds like so much fun even if it did take a lot of washing to get the clothes clean again!

Double rainbows are a bit special, love that lovely outdoor photos of you all, time out with the kids is special as is baking together. They all look so happy, clearly a good half term.

Wow, a double rainbow. I can’t remember the last time I saw one and I don’t think my little one has ever seen one. How lucky you captured it.
Our half term is just starting, so you’re a week ahead – sounds like you made the most of your time together, despite work inbetween!
Holidays are about getting muddy and enjoying being outside, which it sounds like you did a lot of.

Obviously the bake off was a success by the look of those smiles.
I did hear from some official source (that I can’t remember at the moment) that there is always two rainbows, but you don’t often see the second one. That’s a gorgeous shot.
I love the idea of kids being out and about having fun and yes even getting muddy!
I hope you have a great Sunday to end the half term.

GREAT double rainbow!! Do you know what? I haven’t seen a rainbow in ages, I can’t remember the last one I saw.

I’m never in the right place for rainbows. It looks so dramatic against the dark sky and autumn leaves. A bear hunt is great fun even if it is was a little muddy!
