We are huge fans of Fisher Price Imaginext toys, they are well made, great for little hands and grow with your child. There are always others set to join and The Fisher Price Imaginext Batman Super Flight Gotham City Playset is no exception. This set is awesome and has some great action features.

Batman is a classic superhero, isn’t he and with the villain The Joker, that duo has been about for years. Goodness, I remember watching the show on a Saturday morning back in the 80’s. My little boy Tyler who is 7, loves superhero sets and all the Imaginext items. He plays with them for hours and has a great imagination. I love playing with him or just listening to the little stories he makes up with his characters.

The coolest thing about The Fisher Price Imaginext Batman Super Flight Gotham City Playset is that it Batman really flies. Yes really. There is a flight tower which connects to Gotham City and is controlled with via the top power pad, which works as a remote control. Turn the pad yourself or insert a figure which makes it a little easier. Batman can fly high or low, controlled with the sliding weight in the middle of the flight bar. He flies round in 360 degrees. Perfect for knocking off a villain from the top of Gotham City or flying in to save the day.

The second power pad down is a disk launcher. Fire those disks to hit the baddies trying get into the city. To fire, you press the trigger and it launches 4 disks in a row. There are also lights and sounds in the Gotham City playset and the Batman sign lights up. The Fisher Price Imaginext Batman Super Flight Gotham City Playset also has a lift you can move up and down, three different levels to bring imaginative play to life, a trap down and doors that open and close. At the back there are stairs to climb. There are three power pads in total that bring the action to life.

The Fisher Price Imaginext Batman Super Flight Gotham City Playset comes with both Batman and Joker figures. Both have movable arms and legs, allowing easy access to the move the power pads. They can sit and stand and the Joker can move his head. There are lots of moves and roleplaying fun to be had in this great set.

We love this set, the only downside will be the fact it needs a whopping 6 x AA batteries which are not included. It seems a lot, but the main city itself only needs 2 for the lights and sounds. The flight tower needs 4 AA batteries. Once you see it move, you will understand why it needs that much power. Check out our video below.

As I’ve already said we are big Imaginext fans and this is a great addition. It is great to play with on it’s own, but can also be added to other sets and there is another DC Super Friends set which adds to the fun. You can also purchase extra figure sets like the one we have with the Joke and Harley Quinn, but there are loads of double pack superhero sets to add to the role playing fun. The Batman Playset set is priced at £44.99 which I think is a good price for everything it does. It’s well made, sturdy and can be played with straight away. The 6AA batteries are required though. The set encouraged imaginative play and is a lot of fun.  A big thumbs up from us.

You can check out our other sets like the Imaginext Power Ranger Megazoid and the Imaginext Supernova Battlerover.

Disclosure:- I was sent the Fisher Price Imaginext Super Flight Gotham City to review, but all words and opinions are my own.
