Kite Flying – Our Weekly Photos Week 33

13th August 2016 By Susan Mann 32 Comments

Kite Flying

Tree Climbing

This week was our last week of the school summer holidays. The weather has been awful all summer, it’s like the sun has forgotten it’s summer. Last Saturday the boys went to see DanTDM the youtuber at the theatre and had a ball, while my shopaholic mum, Aria and I shopped in Glasgow. Sunday we did some kite flying as it was super windy. It was a lot of fun. Robert and I were off the last three days from work and I got the boys school stuff labelled and ready. I got a little carried away and ended up doing all their rooms. We visited the battle of bannockburn, went to crazy golf and climbed some more trees. It’s been a fun week, but sad it’s over. Back to school on Monday. How was your week?

So sorry to hear you’ve had awful weather this summer although looks like the kite flying was fine. I love that second photo – such a gorgeous shot 🙂

I love the kite flying, we’ve not done any this summer, but we’ve been short on wind. Sounds like you had the perfect day and some gorgeous photos from a very happy sounding week. I can’t believe how fast the summer is going, we only have another couple of weeks left before the new school term now too. Well d one on sorting and labeling all the uniforms, I’ve still got things to get.

Thank you for joining me for #CountryKids

Looks like you really made the most out of the last week of the school holidays! We are planning on kite flying but I am so scared to do it as I have this idea that the wind would blow my son away =P

School already! We still have until 1st September but that is only two weeks ago now. I saw some people flying kites on the beach last weekend and wished we had brought ours with us.

Sounds like you had a great time! Love flying a kite, admittedly I have only done it twice and both times I got the kite together wrong and my husband fixed it, but still, it’s fun! Curious, did you take your daughter to Bannockburn? I want to go, but everything says it’s for 8 and over and I was worried about it being scary for O? Thanks for linking up to #Whatevertheweather 🙂 x
