The Funny Things My Kids Say – Zumberzella Edition

15th July 2016 By Susan Mann 17 Comments

How did we get to be over half way through the year? I promised I’d do more of these posts as they are my favourite, but I am really struggling just now. My headaches are bad, I’m so busy at work and with the kids being off I feel like I am chasing my tail with everything. Another blog post, for another time. For now I want to share all the funny things the kids have said recently, like the ones I have shared in the past, the funny things my kids sayย and funny toddlers things.

Zumberzella

Here is Aria with her Zumerzella as she calls it. I hope she always calls it that.

Ahh got to love the honesty of my 7yo; “Mum, Aria spilled the cereal. I tried to pick it up, but I got bored.”

Then I try to fix that and Aria goes out side and gets her head stuck in boys goal net. Crazy girl. Just as well she’s cute!

We were talking about names in the car and Lucas said, he knew a boy calledย Harris and said it is short for haggis! Thankfully it wasn’t.

Before we got our cute wee kitten, we were talking about what we’d need to get for her. What do cats eat?

“Cats eat sausage, chips and milk.” Of course they do!!

Lucas:- “Are those two brothers?” Me:- “Why do you say that?” Lucas:- “There haircuts are the same.”

Tyler:- “It’s Gran and Grandpa’s university today.” Me:- “he he, their Wedding anniversary.”

Tyler:- “Is chicken pox, spots that chickens lay in people’s skin?”

Thankfully not!

Lucas:- “Can I get a mohog in my hair?”

Me:- “A what?”

Lucas:- “You know the sticky up hair?”

Me:- “Ahh a Mowhak?”

Lucas:- “Yes, that’s it. Can I get it all different colours?”

Me:- “Erm, your hair isn’t long enough yet. Why don’t you let it grow and decide?”

Needless to say, the next time we were at the hairdressers he’d changed his mind. Another Ronaldo hair cut it is then.

I love the funny little words that Aria says different things:-

Airicorn – is a unicorn

A crispy elf – A Christmas elf

Disney on Ice Paris – Disneyland Paris

300 year old tree

Tyler standing in front of a 300 year old oak tree. “Mum, that tree is even older than you.” “Thanks son, just a bit!!”

I do love recording the funny things they say. These are the posts that make me smile most and whenever I have a bad day, these are the ones I read. How can you not smile at the word Zumberzella? I’d love to know what funny things your children have said? Do leave them in the comments below or a link to your post and I’ll stop by.

For now I’ll leave you with we are heading to Blackpool this week and Aria thinks this is just a big pool and is busy packing her swim suit and bath toys. How do I break the news? She’s been before and she will love it, but it is just too funny listening to all the things she is going to do in the pool. What are your plans for this weekend?

My son calls bra straps “arm bands”. He often asks me (when out and about) if I am wearing my arm bands! #bigpinklink

I love Zumberzella instead of umbrella and airicorn for unicorn and the question about chicken pox made me chuckle. I can see why Aria thinks Blackpool might be a big pool! Hope you have a wonderful time on holiday and thanks for linking up to #ftmob ๐Ÿ™‚

I love recording the things they say too. From the toddler mispronunciations to the slightly bizarre pearls of wisdom they come out with as they get older. Lovely read xx #ftmob

Oh brilliant! This post cracked me up. I tend to jot it down when they say things that make me laugh. It frustrates me so much when I forget. Zumberzella is a wonderful name. Thanks for being a #bigpinklinker
