Voting And Strawberry Moon – Our Weekly Photo Week 26

25th June 2016 By Susan Mann 25 Comments

Voting Fun

Strawberry Moon

I’ve been working all week, which has meant I’ve missed the kids so much. I did get to sneak away to see Aria get her certificate for completing her first term at nursery and I attended prize giving at the boys school. Oldest won an award, which I’ll blog about separately. I hung out the our bedroom window at midnight at managed to catch a glimpse of the Strawberry Moon through the cloud, which hasn’t happen at the summer solstice since 1967.Β It was a lovely moment to capture. Then, of course there was the voting on Thursday evening, Aria was so excited to come with me and delighted to get a sticker. Little did we know how it would go. Well, that’s another story. Friday saw the end of our school year and schools out for summer. How was your week?

Aria is such a ray of sunshine in every photo. I’ve never managed any moon as good as that never mind a strawberry one! Well done indeed. Enjoy your summer hols and hope you have some time off too coming up.

Great strawberry moon and love the pose struck by Aria. My week, certainly the tail end of it, has been spent in shock at that referendum result. #MySundayPhoto

Hi Susan, I love both your photos and one day I hope to be able to take a beautiful photograph of the moon too. Your little girl certainly does look happy.

What an amazing moon. We couldn’t see it from our house. My son wanted to go with my husband to vote when he got home but he was told to change out of his Barman costume first!

Love Aria’s expression and well done to your biggest boy on his award. I’m not happy about the result either. I really don’t know what went wrong there πŸ™

Lovely photos. I missed the moon πŸ™ I didn’t miss the voting though, thankfully we didn’t have to travel too far and my kids came with me treating it like an adventure. I can’t say I’m happy with the result, but we just have to get on with it now.

I love the outfit your little one is wearing. Those little yellow leggings are so bright and cheerful and reflect how she’s feeling. Pleased to hear you managed to spend some time together. #happydayslinky

great capture of the moon, was too cloudy where we were to see it. Daughter is looking delightfully summery. Well done on the school award. I was surprised at the result as well, but not expecting to see any difference any time soon.
