Walking to school a while back with the boys and their friend:- Lucas:- “Oh no one of the workmen has died.” Me:- “What do you mean?” Lucas:- “Look there’s a wooden cross. They put them in when people die.” Me:- “No Lucas, they are measuring the height.” Lucas:- “But there is a bit mound of earth. He’s in there.” Tyler:- “Maybe he just fell in a hole.” Me:- “No one is in there. All the workmen are fine. No one has fell in or died.” Tyler:- “Are you sure? We saw those crosses when the teacher spoke about the war.” Me:- “Yes I am sure. All the workmen are fine. Look there’s one in there digger.” Phew. Reading a book to Tyler:- Tyler:- “You know baddies get their dessert in the end.” I asked Aria what the name of her pony was and she answered:- Aria:- “I do not know. She’s not told me yet.”
Ah bless them. I miss wot so funee, they were some of the best moments 🙂
hehehe! Kids are so funny….
Love. The first convo makes total sense.
Deacons new thing is saying “oh man” to everything.
Addison keeps telling me she is exhausted lol xx
Hahaha maybe they could ask the workmen? I dont think I’ll look at those measuring thingies in the same way again!
Kids are so funny. I love eavesdropping on my kids’ conversations.
Aww – that’s so sweet in a kind of crazy, child-logic kind of way. He was concerned for the workmen. It would be a bit morbid if the others just kept working away around the gravesite but at least they took the time to erect the memorial! #ftmob
At least you know that the stuff they are learning in school is sinking in somehow! I wonder when you’ll find out the pony’s name? 🙂 #ftmob
That’s adorable! It’s funny how children interpret things isn’t it?
forgot to say, I popped by from #abitofeverything
lol.. Kids sometimes come up with words that are funny, isn’t it? great idea of recording them! #abitofeverything
My 2yo daughter recently told me to ‘have a real look…WITH YOUR EYES’….oops…can’t imagine where she’s heard that before??! They are funny little people indeed. Gorgeous photo! #abitofeverything
So funny, I wish I could remember half the things my children say, but without a note book at hand I too often forget as I’m so busy in the moment – and on to the next moment – plus I think the years of sleep deprivation have seriously depleted my short term memory!
Ha ha brilliant. They do get fixated with certain things. N’s obsessed with prison (or ‘present’) at the moment and keeps asking what people get put in there for.
Oh this did make me chuckle. I can see how the workmen using a “wooden cross” to measure the height can be a little confusing! Love the baddies getting their dessert at the end too and Aria’s pony not telling her what her name is. Thank you for linking up to #ftmob 🙂
Oh bless! Great logic, and the workmen using a wooden cross would definitely confuse the little ones!
My little niece is always coming out with funny things. She makes me cry with laughter, although obviously I cant think of a single example here and now to tell you.
Thanks for linking up, Tracey (the anxious dragon) #abitofeverything
Brilliant! I love listening to my two, too, always so random! x
Love these stories! How cute are they? Especially the little one from Aria. Sounds like something my daughter would say. 🙂 #abitofeverything
LOL…This is so funny and so so so true, from the mouths of babes! But it does make perfect sense, doesn’t it?
