Playmobil has a range of toys inspired by the CITV series Super 4. The Super 4 series are based around 4 different worlds of Playmobil, these are Pirates, Fairies, Knights and Top Agents. The Super 4 characters are Gene, Alex, Ruby and Twinkle. Follow them on their adventures on their new show on CITV and Netflix. We are really enjoying the show and with them being relatively short episodes they keep the kids entertained and captivated.
Along with the show Playmobil have brought out some new Super 4 sets. These are based on the 4 different worlds Gunpower Island, Techno Polis, Kings Island and The Enchanted Island. We were sent 3 of the new sets to review as part of our job as #PlaymobilPlayologists.
The first set is the Lost Island with with Alien and Raptor (6687). We loved this set, Tyler especially is he is a big dinosaur fan and fell in love with the long eared monkey style character. The set itself is bright, colourful and simple to put together. Tyler needed a very little help putting this together. There are lots of trees to hide in and the magnifying glass even works. This was a big thing to Tyler. Have a look at his video below to find out what he thought.
The Lost Island playset comes with the island a tree, bushes, a set of toadstools, a Playmobil paleontologist, a slithering snake on a tree, a mini dinosaur, a magnifying glass, a boomerang which either the character or monkey can hold on to and a very cute blue, long eared monkey. This set is a lot of fun and one the allows imagination to go wild. Tyler loves the magnifying glass and little monkey.
The Super 4 Royal Tribune with Alex is a Royal box, with a fun secret compartment, Playmobil characters a King, a Knight and the Kings son Alex who had a very cool retractable sword. A jousting horse for the knight complete with jousting sword. The King was our favourite in this set, who loved his outfit and cloak. There is also a cute little rat. This set come with loads of fab accessories and my boys have had endless amounts of fun with it. Do check out our video about this set.
Tyler loved this set and had a lot of fun with the horse, putting the King on his throne and there is even a magic lamp. We’ve had all kinds of fun and lots of imaginative play when playing with this set. All the sets work well together, but can be used individually too. All sets are well made and sturdy, bight and colourful.
We loved all the sets and the Super 4 tv show brings the characters to life giving even more fun and fueling the imagination. The prices of the sets are very reasonable and would make great Christmas gifts. All sets were simple and easy to setup. The Royal Tribune one was a little tricky and required some adult help, but the other two were both built simply and all are a lot of fun. Both boys have played for hours with the sets, especially the skyjet, flying it around firing the torpedo. And Tyler had taken ownership of the little blue long eared monkey which now goes everywhere with him. He’s called Barney according to Tyler. All in all another great addition to the Playmobil range and do check out the show.
There are some great activities available between now and Christmas in the format of a Super 4 Treasure Hunt which is in London. There is even a chance for a member of the public to win a 24 carat gold toy. How cool is that. Find out more about the trails and how to join in.
Do check out our other Playmobil review and our Playmobil 123 review.
