Imaginext® Power Rangers Morphin Megazod – Review

6th October 2015 By Susan Mann 1 Comment

Imaginext Power Rangers Megazod

My youngest son Tyler is a big Power Rangers fan and loves Imaginext, so when you combine the two and have the Imaginext® Power Rangers Morphin Megazod he is in heaven. Not just the Megazod, but they have released a whole range of Power Rangers toys. We love the Imaginext toys as they are chunky and sturdy enough for younger kids, but still have a lot of fun and not babyish for older kids. The Power Rangers Morphin Megazod is huge at 71 cm tall and a lot of fun to go with it. Why not check out Tyler’s video he made below on what it can do before I explain.

The Imaginext® Morphin Megazord unleashes it’s fire power on the Power Ranger’s villains using the cannon in the chest. To enable all the different functionality within the Megazod use the figures to turn the disc and it does different actions. There is one power pad on the left should that lights up the eyes of the Megazod and reveals the cannon, allowing the child to press the button and fire the cannon. There are also power coins that you can launch. Tyler loved the lift at the back and had the little Power Ranger characters going up and down. A character goes into the head of the Megazod and can sit there while the child moves it about. The foot of the Megazod transforms into non other than a chomping sabretooth and with a prison cell at the back for storing the bad guy the imagination play know no limits.

Along with the Morphing Megazord the set comes with 6 power coins, 6 missiles and two Power Ranger figures which are the red and black ones, but the others can be purchased and I know these are already on Tyler’s list.

With little to no setup this toy came out the box ready to go and don’t let it’s size put you off, everything is stored inside and it stores away neatly. It even comes with the batteries required pre-installed, how good is that? I think this is a great toy and everything you need is there. The suggested age is between 3-8 and Tyler is 6 almost 7 and loves it. This is definitely a toy that covers a wide age range. With an RRP of £62.99 it’s not cheap, but it’s a toy that will last and you don’t need anything else to go with it. The extra figures are a bonus, not a necessity.

Playing with Fisher Price Megazod

Power Rangers are one of those characters that don’t seem to disappear. They have been around for over 20 years and still going strong. If your child loves Power Rangers or action toys, they will love this. Standing at 71 cm tall and a lot of different action packed settings, this will allow your child’s imagination to soar and enjoy role playing their favourite Power Rangers action scene. This gets a huge thumbs up from us and it would be a great main gift on any Power Ranger fan’s Christmas list.

Does your child love Power Rangers? I know both my boys love it.
