Playmobil 123 Review

8th September 2015 By Susan Mann 2 Comments

Playmobil 123

We are huge fans of Playmobil in this house, we have been for years. I remember playing with it as a child and loved the hospital set. Playmobil is definitely one of those toys that stands the test of time and can be passed from generation to generation. When we were picked to be a Playologist we couldn’t believe it. Our first set for review included some excellent items from the Playmobil 123 range. These are perfect for Aria who is just over 2 1/2 and she couldn’t wait to play with them.

Playmobil 123 Set

The Playmobil 123 range is designed for children under 5 and capture their imagination through role playing. The range is fantastic for little hands in that the characters, vehicles, etc are large and chunky. There are no little bits that can be lost or for them to swallow. The parts can be chewed and played with. They are extremely well made and I think they are fantastic. Aria spends hours on the floor zooming the tractor about and feeding the dog.

Tractor

We have had the zoo from this range for a few years and my youngest son got so much pleasure from playing with this. The figures are smooth, bright and colourful. The arms don’t move the way the older version of Playmobil does but the legs move. Aria’s favourite one of play with this the Tractor. It comes out the packaging ready to play with it’s own farmer. You can whiz it about the living room floor to your hearts content as Aria did or have it as part of your wider play on the farm. This toy brought so much enjoyment, it was lovely to watch.

We had three separate sets, but they all work together to build up a lovely set, however working equally as well as individual items. Aria loved to feed the little dog and put him to bed in his basket.

Playmobil 123 Characters

As you can see the characters themselves are simple, yet effective in their design, there isn’t to much details, but they look like what they are supposed to. I just love them. Even fitting the figures into the vehicles or the farmer with the wheelbarrow, they slot right in, no fiddling about and they stay in place. I’ve seen so many toys where toddlers get frustrated with toys falling apart and this is not one of them.

Playing with Playmobil 123

Playmobil 123 is designed for littler hands and fingers to play with than the regular sets.  Playmobil 123 features great attention to detail and is perfect for first role playing imagination. All the playsets are waterproof and can be cleaned easily, but more importantly in my child’s eyes, they can be used in the bath or in a basin for water play fun. The possibilities is endless.

Playing Playmobil 123

I cannot praise Playmobil 123 range enough for children aged 5 and under. They are perfect, well made, washable, bright, colourful and chunky for little hands. The price range is very good too. The sets are something you can build on and can be used for years to come. A big thumbs up from our toddler.

The items we reviewed were as follows:-

Farmer with Wheelbarrow 6793 RRP £3.99

Girl with Dog 6796 RRP £3.99

Tractor 6794 £7.99

Disclaimer:  We were sent these sets as part of our role as Playmobil Playologists, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.

We love Playmobil and we had quite a lot of the 1-2-3 over the years. It’s one of the things I’ve made sure to keep by for the Grandchildren because it’s excellent and so user-friendly 🙂
