Review – Great Gizmos 4M Kidz Labs Bubble Science Kit

9th March 2015 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Great Gizmos Bubble Science Kit
Who doesn’t love bubbles? Everyone does right? So when you mix bubbles and learning, everyone is a winner. I am a huge fan of science kits for kids and love the Great Gizmos 4M Kidz Labs range. I have bought some in the past and jumped at the chance to try out the Great Gizmos Bubble Science Kit.

Bubble Science Kit
The kit doesn’t come with everything you need for all the experiments, you will need some store cupboard ingredients, but everything you don’t have you’ll find in the kit. Inside the kit you will find 1 pot of bubble solution and a set of bubble making shapes. Here is a picture of what is inside the kit.
What can you do with this kit? Well you can blow an unbreakable bubble, blow a huge bubble, have fun with square and triangle bubbles, make a bubble film and so much more.
I love teaching my children and watching them being amazed and having fun while learning. My dad was a scientist and he used to do all kinds of science kit experiments with me. I have a lot of fond memories of this.
Bubble Solution Ingredients
We created our own bubble solution and the boys were amazed at how simple and effective it was. Although the kit comes with it’s own bottle, it is quite small. Enough to do some of the experiments, but I had all the ingredients in the cupboard we thought it would be cool to make our own. It worked a treat.
Bubble Mix
The bubble mix generated a lot of bubble mix, enough to be having fun with and some to be put away for next time. It was simple, easy and fascinating.
Blowing Bubbles
We blew bubbles through both the round and star shaped wands and found out why you are unable to blow different shaped bubbles. We found out what bubbles are and why bubbles are coloured. All information is in the book, I don’t want to include spoilers here, but it’s very interesting.

Lots of Bubbles
We used one of the straws and found we could build a huge wall of bubbles. This was a lot of fun and both boys and I had a go at this. This also allowed us to see how the different colours are created with light reflecting off them.

Square Bubble
How amazing is this? We used the cube to create a square bubble inside the cube. Who said you couldn’t make bubble shapes? I was in awe of this never mind the kids. It was difficult to get a true picture of this. We also created this with the triangle, but it was impossible to get a good picture off. These bubbles were my favourite and impressive.
There are many more bubble experiments that we didn’t have a chance to try out, yet! The weather has been awful so we couldn’t get outside to try the giant bubbles, etc. I am looking forward to the better weather and having more bubble fun.
I love the Great Gizmos kits allow children to have fun, learn and are inspired all at the same time and there are no electronics involved. The kits are great value for money and everything can be stored in the box for next time. These aren’t one off kits, these can be used again and again. I cannot recommend these enough. Great prices and a lot of stimulating fun.
Disclaimer:- I was sent this product free of charge, but all opinions are my own. These are fab.
