LeapFrog LeapReader Party

26th March 2015 By Susan Mann 1 Comment

We’ve had an unlucky run of illness in the kids recently and with Aria having a little operation. We were supposed to host our LeapFrog LeapReader book club party, but had to put it off due to illness. However, finally got around having our party and had a ball. We had my two boys and two of their little friends came over to have some reading fun together. Have you hosted a book club party?
We set-up the party table. And some colouring books and stickers to get into the party mood. We had dinosaur masks, balloons and even party hats.

The boys arrived and we put on our masks and dinosaur costumes. We even set-up the pinata.

The reason for the dinosaur party was that we were trying out the Leap and the Lost Dinosaur LeapReader book.

We love the LeapReader. All the kids did at the party and we gave them on away with to continue their reading and learning. The LeapReader is a fantastic product and is the complete Learn-to-Read-and-Write solution, which has been approved by UK primary school teachers to support reading at home.
Leap and the Lost Dinosaur
Leap and the Lost Dinosaur LeapReader book is a wonderful adventure, taking it’s readers back in time with the well loved Leap and Professor Quigley. You can meet over 25 different dinosaurs and find out more about them, what they eat, how the defended themselves and where they lived. Children will have fun becoming their own dinosaur detective. What else is fantastic about this book is that  it comes with some dinosaur cards, for quick facts and information. All the boys loved this book and the sounds that came from the cards. As with all LeapReader books, there are different levels and stages you can use. From read on your own, read it back to me and spelling out words and more.

If you ever want to find out about dinosaurs in a fun and interactive way then the Leap and the Lost Dinosaur is the book for you. The cards give the book that something extra. They can be played with as a game, part of learning or just for fun listening to the sounds.
Dinosaur Reading
We all had such a great time with the LeapFrog LeapReader Book club party. All the children dressed up as dinosaurs, at lots of yummy food, read lots of great stories, played games, coloured and had fun with dinosaurs.

Dinosaur Colouring Fun
This was a great way to learn about dinosaurs and the children went away happy and had a new found wealth of knowledge and a fun way to read.

What is great about the LeapFrog LeapReader is that fact you can have the books in the pen and the kids can sit in the car or bed listening to them as an audio book. Great for car journeys and trips. It can be used with or without headphones. With a usb rechargeable battery it’s perfect, not more looking for AA’s.
There are so many books, maps, cards and puzzles books, over 150, that the LeapReader has on offer, it is a fantastic product one that I would highly recommend. We love it and all the kids at the party had a great time.
If you want to know a bit more about helping your child to read with the LeapFrog system they have a great free pdf guide here.
The LeapFrog LeapReader is available from a variety of retailers and online here with a RRP of £39.99 and includes a LeapReader, activity sampler book, and Learning Paper writing sheets. The books typically cost from £12.99-£16.99 (Lost Dinosaur LeapReader book  is £16.99).
Disclaimer:- We were sent out some products as part of being LeapFrog Ambassadors to host this party, but all thoughts and opinions are my own.
