Celebrating 125 Years of Boots Baby

28th March 2015 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Boots have a wonderful baby range, which I was surprised to learn is 125 years old. I think that is incredible. I can imagine it was very different back then. They have a wonderful Parenting Club where the vouchers and magazines were invaluable. Down to earth advice and discounts on products I actually use. I am still a member, having had my third baby and it’s the best service.

Why not check out Boots baby to check out the range and limited time buy 3 and get the cheapest free on Boots brand baby. Or order online to collect from your chosen store. This only available up until the 31st March, so you must get in quick.
When I was pregnant with my oldest, Lucas, I went to every class, read every book and planned on doing everything I could to have a healthy, happy baby. Not everything goes quite to plan. And what they don’t tell you in books is that you can’t plan, not really. You can have everything you think you’ll need, you can plan what you want to do, but what happens when things change?

Having a baby is the most amazing, awe inspiring and incredible. I don’t think there are really any words, your heart just melts and you are no longer the same person you were before that little person is placed in your arms. Your world revolves around this little bundle of joy. This popping, crying, puking and incredible little person.

Breastfeeding was on my plan, as I said I wanted what I thought was the best. After an agonising time, no sleep, an unhappy baby and my health, especially my kidneys deteriorating, we decided to stop. I felt broken hearted, like I’d let my baby and my body had let me down.
I’d naively never thought about bottle feeding, I wasn’t on twitter back then, I didn’t have my blog yet or I’d have know where to turn. But, fear not, I had a place to go where they would help me and supply me with what I needed and that was Boots. They helped me chose suitable bottles, steriliser, formula, etc and when Aria had reflux, they helped me find a suitable milk for her. Advice, comfort and the products I need all there in the one store.

To celebrate, Boots baby have created the #BootsBaby125Years celebration film – a look back through the archives and the personal journeys of families through the years. This is the a beautiful film, it will put a big smile on your face.
