Now that we are in the beginning of 2015 and trends in television are set to change, it is worth taking a look at the TV shows that made 2014 such a great year. With Ed the Sofa Bear taking the world by storm with his dedication to television and passion for his sofa, let’s take a look at the top voted television shows of the past year.
The top 10:
1. Fresh Meat – channel 4
2. Threesome – Comedy Central UK
3. Being Human – BBC Three
4. Peep Show – Channel 4
5. The Hour – BBC 2
6. Him and Her – BBC Three
7. This is England – Channel 4
8. Doctor Who – BBC 2
9. Black Mirror – Channel 4
10. Shameless – Channel 4
However, the year of 2014 also saw a number of nature and zombie shows come to our television sets – shows that the UK audience absolutely loved. Ed the Sofa Bear being of no exception to this rule, he has spent the past year and will continue to do so, in front of his television, on his sofa watching Virgin Media.
Yes, that is true – Ed has sat on his sofa, spending hour after hour watching the top TV shows of the year. With all of the above top 10 shows being readily available on Virgin Media, it is no wonder how he has managed it – there is so much to watch! Ed knows all of the juicy gossip from Shameless and is up to date with the latest antics from Doctor Who – or as Ed says:
“I’m playing a man who likes sitting around watching a lot of telly, which is kinda ironic really because I love sitting around watching telly.”
With Ed showing us just what it has been like for us – being glued to the television for an entire year, it makes us wonder if 2015 will be any different; probably not if Virgin Media has anything to do with it.
Whether we have enjoyed our television like Ed – sat on the sofa for hours on end whilst our family clean up around us, or indeed like Ally the Night Owl – sat up all night watching box sets, it is needless to say that we all enjoyed the TV of 2014.
Disclaimer:- This is a featured post, one I find interesting and as a Virgin Media fan it’s great to know I can watch these.
