Review Journl – The Personal Organiser

22nd December 2014 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Journl
I like to be very organised, there’s a place for everything, the calendar is filled in and I know exactly what I am doing and when. However, when children come into your life a lot of that goes out the window. It becomes harder to have everything in it’s place, they just trash that, it’s hard to keep track of all their activities, especially when they go to school and you can plan to leave the house at a certain time, but let’s face it, it never happens. I am starting to get back to my way of thinking and planning using a neat piece of software called Journl.

Journl is very intuitive and allows you to add various sections like home, money, travel, etc and within that it breaks down into notebooks, events and to do lists. The to do lists are colour coded and you can even tick them as you complete each task. The money list allows you to keep track of individual trips, events, etc and allows you to attach documents like tickets, etc to it. I love the shopping list and the fact you can add and remove from it is a win win for me.

Last month we all went to visit a farm called Whitehouse Farm Centre in the North of England. I used Journl to plan the whole thing. From the days we were going, the car journey, what we’d need to even storing the tickets in the app. It’s excellent. And although I added all of this into the web version on my laptop, I can used the iPhone app on the go. Everything you need at your finger tips on your mobile.

I knew when we had to leave to get there for 10:30am and even a link to direction for the sat nav. If you haven’t been to Whitehouse Farm Centre  I’d highly recommend it. Loads to do for children, loads of animal handling and very lovely staff. It was Aria’s first visit to a farm and she’s fascinated with animals, but up close not so much. My oldest Lucas loved the animal handling and was first in the queue to have a tarantula on his head, hold a rat, lizard, rabbit and mice. It was amazing.

We even played on the tractors and had a lovely lunch in the cafe. All budgeted for in Journl app.

We went to the owl handling which was amazing and found out all about various different owls, even getting to pet them. Lucas held a few and one landed on his back. He was very brave. Aria loved watched them, but from a distance as with all the animals. Tyler was a bit reluctant, but came around. His favourite bit was getting a soft toy from the shop. He loves his soft toys.

Now I no longer need my Google calendar, outlook calender, calendar on the wall, to do notes all over the place, school notes pinned to the fridge and shopping lists in my purse. All I need is Journl it really has everything you’ll ever need to get organised in the one place. Even my organisation is organised with this. I cannot recommend Journl enough, To do Lists, Shopping lists, Calenders, storage and more all in the one handy app and online version. You can even have more than one wether it’s for work, personal or the kids. I love Journl and feel I am getting on top of things.
Are you are organised person? Do you think Journl could help you get organised? They do a free 30 day trial for you to try out. After that it’s £4.99 per month or £39 per year. Less than I must spend on paper, notebooks and pens and paracetamol for the headache.
Disclaimer:- I was given one year’s subscription to Journl, but I’ll be renewing it next year.
