Review – Nintendo Pokemon Art Academy 3DS

10th October 2014 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Pokemon Art Academy

My boys haven’t quite gotten into Pokemon yet, but they are aware of it and Pikatu especially. They were delighted when were were sent a code as part of the Nintendo Family Blogger Network. The Nintendo Pokemon Art Academy is for the 3DS, but also works on the 2DS. It’s a great little art game that brings out the creative side rather than just a game. Prefect for keeping them amused on car journeys.

Nintendo Pokemon Art Academy allows the user to become an aspiring artist who is enrolled in the Pokemon Academy to teach them to able to draw the wonderful characters from Pokemon. The lessons are broken down so that the player learns the basics from shape, form, colour, shading and blending. You can learn to draw over 100 Pokemon, so you will find plenty to keep them occupied. Not only that but with 40 step by step tutorials, your child will be creating their own little master pieces in no time.

One of our favourite parts of this game is being able to print off the creations and share them with the family. Here is one my 5 year old created.

Pikatu
Pretty cool isn’t it? He had loads of fun with this and we all really enjoyed the game. I would highly recommend it for something a little different, especially if you have a Pokemon fan in your house. Or want something a little more creative. Pokemon Art Academy is available now from all good retailers, it’s currently £22.85 on Amazon

We were also sent some art supplies to get our creative juices flowing and we did just that when my twin nieces came over for the afternoon.

I think they did a great job. What do you think? I know they all had a lot of fun and that was the main thing. Why not give it a go?
