HP Instant Ink – The Automated Ink Replacement Service

16th October 2014 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Now working in an IT company, you’d think I’d be all about paperless office and all that, well I’m not. I don’t print what I don’t have to, but I do love to print. I print anything from work stuff, to colouring in pages to photos of the kids. I love a good printer and one that doesn’t cost the earth in ink. There is nothing worse than needing or wanting to print something off, whether it’s for homework or just a stunning picture you took, only to find out you’ve ran out of ink. Frustrating! This is where HP Instant Ink comes in to play. You don’t have to worry about ever running out of ink.
So how does HP Instant ink work?
HP Instant Ink
Once you have a eligible printer, which needs to be HP, you can find a list on the website, you sign up to a years plan. Then your ink gets delivered to your door and not only that, you save money too. Simple.
The printer connects wireless to the Internet and orders the new ink for you so that you never run out. It doesn’t matter if you are printing black and white or full pages of colour, for £3.49 per month you can print 100 pages. And the new ink cartridges magically appear at your door.
We use the HP Envy 5530 All in one printer which is compatible and awesome. It prints great pictures, it scans, it copies, it even prints passport size pictures, how cool is that? It really does everything I’d ever want a printer to do. You can use a SD card, you can print wireless from any device, including my iPhone and iPad, I love it.

The printer was really easy to setup on your wireless network, follow the instruction booklet and you’ll have it setup and printing within 15 minutes. I had to run the disk which came with it to install the extras on my laptop as it’s Windows 8.1, but it was intuitive and didn’t take long. Once installed I was off. I even printed this sweet little certificate and letter from the tooth fairy for my oldest. This is an excellent printer, one I can’t fault or rate highly enough.

Overall I have been super impressed with HP Instant Ink and will be recommending it to anyone looking to buy a printer, so they get a compatible one or for those with a compatible printer. I think this is the future in printer and it rocks.
Disclaimer:- I was given an HP Envy Printer and a years supply of HP Instant ink. I will definitely be taking this out once my subscription has expired and I am very impressed.
