My bareMinerals Make Under

23rd September 2014 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

I have been a HUGE fan of bareMinerals for over five years now and would never go back to wearing anything other than bareMinerals. I feel it’s perfect for my skin, feels light and airy and works well. I used to wear the lose powder, but about a year or so I changed to the compact which just saved a minute or so when heading to work in the morning. However, when I was told about their new Serum Foundation, bareSkin I knew I had to try it. So off I went to the lovely bareMinerals counter in Debenhams at Silverburn in Glasgow for a make under.
I have been here before as it’s the first place I tried bareMinerals back in the day, and I’m still in love with the product. The store is big, bright and welcoming. I’ve never felt out of place or uncomfortable. I also like that the light doesn’t change the look of your make-up.I met the lovely Kerriee who was my make under artist for the day. She was amazing and I wish I could have taken her home with me. Her box of tricks.

bareMinerals Magic
After using powder minerals I was very wary of going back to a “liquid” type foundation, but I needn’t have worried. The bareSkin serum foundation has an improved coverage over the loose powder foundations, but still feels like there is nothing there. There are 20 shades available, so there is the perfect match for every skin tone. The product has a coconut-derived base, yet certainly doesn’t have a coconut scent. I have a combination skin type and found it great skin coverage all over. It is created for all skin types.

The bareSkin is put on with a brush, which is odd I know for a serum, but the brush is specially created and has a little dip in the middle for the serum to sit in.  To use you shake the bottle, squeeze 1-2 drops into the dip of the Perfecting Face Brush and then like all the other bareMinerals foundations, brush onto the skin in circular motions. Do this lightly and then add more drops to build up coverage. Simples. Kerriee did one half and I did the other.

Add in some other bareMinerals goodies mineral veil, skinny dip and blush. A bit of  eye shadow, mascara, brow pencil, lip pencil, lipstick and a gloss to finish. And I had the look to go.

bareMinerals Make Under
What do you think? I LOVE it. So much so I bought the bareSkin serum and brush then and there, along with the eyebrow pencil I was very impressed with and the lipstick I loved. I have several of the other bareMinerals items already since I’m a die hard fan. But it’s my birthday this week. Hint Hint hubby.

Here are some of the items Kerriee used on my make under.
Medium BB Primer (£23)
bareSkin Pure Brightening Serum foundation in 02 Bare Shell (£26)
Perfecting Face Brush (£24)
Bronzer in The Skinny Dip (£24)
Translucent Mineral Veil (£22)

Anyone can go in and get a make under done, it’s free and you get to try out their products. There are lots of bareMinerals counters nationwide so there’s no excuse not to try out this amazing range. I love my new look, thank you Kerriee.
Don’t forget bareMinerals also do a skin care range. I’ve been using the moisturiser for years and love it. To be honest, I could gush about bareMinerals forever. I would really recommend you try them, the make under is free so you have nothing to lose. They don’t push their products on you either and they are all lovely. I chose to buy mine because I genuinely love bareMinerals and loved the new bareSkin. Have you tried bareMinerals? What do you think of it?
