I have never been to Italy before, in fact I haven’t been to a vast amount of places. The places I have been beautiful and like Crete and Bulgaria, they were steeped in history. This is how I feel about Italy and especially Tuscany. This is top of my dream trips list. Do you have one of those?
When I’ve been on holiday with the children recently it’s been to a caravan or self-catering cottages or a lodge. Which have been amazing and we have made many memories and had such a wonderful time, ones we will never forget. You can read a lot about them on my blog. It also won’t be the last of our vacations like that, we do love them, but sometimes I’d like a bit more. We’ve never been abroad that the children can remember and had a proper relaxing holiday. This is something I’d like to do. We are going to Disneyland soon, which I’m sure will be excellent, but next time I’d like to take them somewhere that’s steeped in culture and history.
I know there are many places here in the UK that are stunning and have lots of places to see. I visited Northern Ireland many years ago with my parents. We toured around the different places, visiting the Giants Causeway, Bushmills, Bangor, etc. I had a lovely time and have very fond memories. It was actually the last family holiday we had together before my father passed away a few years later. I would like to go back there one day.
I have been to Bulgaria a few times, the first time with my husband and it was amazing. We had such a lovely time doing excursions and visiting places and trying out different types of food. I wrote about our visit. And then spent a very different vacation in Bulgaria when my oldest Lucas was a year old.
Next time I’m planning somewhere special, somewhere on my dream list. France is also high up there on my list of dream vacations, but my love for Italian food definitely puts it at top of the list. I’d love to visit many parts of Italy, but Tuscany sticks out. I recently came across Villa Pia which looks perfect for families and provides affordable luxury accommodation. Villa Pia is in Lippiano which is between Umbria and Tuscany and sounds perfect. I just need to get saving and now we have our passports, there is nothing stopping us is there?
Villa Pia would be a perfect choice, it is surrounded by five acres of land, meaning there is plenty of room for the children to go out and explore. Villa Pia has 17 bedrooms, each one big enough for adults and the children to share. Family rooms which can sleep two adults and up to 3 children, plenty of room. And they will even supply cots, bed rails or potties if requested. There are tons to do with a sandpit, indoor soft play, trampoline and an adventure playground outdoors. They will certainly not get bored. There is not one but two swimming pools on site.
For the adults, there is a babysitting service if you want to take advantage of some me-time or couple time. There is a range of beauty treatments, cooking classes, yoga, pilates and even wine tasting. They really have catered for a wide range, there is surely something there to suit everyone.
Villa Pia really does look like the perfect vacation with children, doesn’t it? Now I just need to make it happen.
So, where is on your dream trip list? Everyone has one, don’t they?
