Giveaway And Review Skogstad Outdoor Clothing

6th August 2014 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

With back to school just around the corner, well for us anyway we go back in a week, we have been busy getting our back to school items ready. One of the items I always find difficult to buy is a school jacket. We don’t have to have them a set colour, everything else has a set colour, but we need something that’s warm, waterproof comfortable and versatile. I have found it in Skogstad Outdoor Clothing.
Risk Boy's Softshell Jacket Sky Blue

We reviewed some of their outdoor jacket ranges. For Lucas who is 7 1/2 we reviewed the Risk Boy’s Softshell Jacket Sky Blue Jacket. This is a perfect school jacket. It’s warm, waterproof, has cool zips, reflective stripes and a fantastic hood to keep that Scottish wind and rain out. The jacket is breathable, yet warm enough to keep them warm in cold temperatures. I love the colour and the feel of the fabric. The jacket has been designed to be washable, great for removing all that mud. It’s so well made I am sure it will last past the school year. Even with Lucas falling to the ground playing football every 3 minutes.

Skogstad Zuv Boy's 2-layer jacket
Tyler tried out the Zuv Boy’s 2-layer Technical Jacket in Navy. This jacket is designed to be touch enough that it will not tear or scuff easily. Boys need that, well mine do, they play football and roll around on the ground half the day. There is also some reflective stripes and the jacket has drawstrings around the bottom on the hood, giving a better fit. The jacket will keep him warm, but it’s still breathable so he won’t get too hot and it’s waterproof and windproof. These are very important when living in Scotland. It looks great and it feels great. I’m very happy with this jacket. There is also plenty of room for growth so it’ll last the whole school year, plus. I feel this jacket will outlast the school year, perhaps two and is very well made.
I also tried out one of their jackets and I have to say it feels amazing, looks great and will be perfect for the school run. They have a great range of woman’s jackets as well as men’s. They also have some super cute little toddler jackets. Why not have a look.
I have never came across jackets like these before. The fabric is amazing, it’s light and warm, but not thick and heavy. They look great and feel comfortable. I really love these jackets and will definitely be buying them in the future. I think they look excellent and will wear well.
Who are Skogstad? They are a Norwegian outdoor clothing brand, who have been around for 75 years in Norway. Only recently were they voted the Number One outdoor clothing brand for the family. At the end of last year they branched out into the UK selling outdoor clothing for men, women, kids and tots. And here we are.
