Review – Winnie the Pooh Sweet Dreams Lightshow

7th November 2013 By Susan Mann Leave a Comment

Winnie the Pooh Sweet Dreams Lightshow
Aria has always been a great sleeper. I’m lucky with her I know, my oldest Lucas, not so much. She chats away in her cot at night before heading off to dream land and uses white noise for this. She loves music and loves to move in time to the music, so I thought that the Tomy Winnie the Pooh Sweet Dreams Lightshow would be perfect for her.
The Winnie the Pooh Sweet Dreams Lightshow projects a lightshow on the ceiling of the room, featuring none other than Winnie the Pooh himself and his friends of course. The show is the characters moving around in a circular motion while it plays a lullaby and there is a soft glowing light that comes from the projector into the cot. It’s perfect for distracting a little one, allowing  you to leave them room and they can drift off to sleep on their own.
Winnie the Pooh Lightshow
There are the different modes on the lightshow. One if sleep mode, which will switch off after a certain length of time and the other is wake up mode, which will switch on if the characters heads are pressed. Allowing baby or a parent to switch it on if your baby wakes up during the night, to sooth her back to sleep. The character buttons are very cute, when it’s in sleep mode and the lightshow is projecting, the characters snore letting the baby know it’s sleepy time.
The second is voice activation mode, this switches on and the lullaby starts up, along with the projections, if the baby wakens up and starts to cry. Soothing her back to sleep.
The third is wake up mode, this has little pictures of Pooh bear and his friends on the dome inside the code. It also plays two different tunes, different from the lullabies, so that baby knows it’s morning time. And when the characters heads are pressed in this mode, they giggle away and yawn. It’s adorable. There are also additional buttons for buzzing bees and singing birds.
Sleeping Baby
Aria absolutely loves the Winnie the Pooh Sweet Dreams Lightshow. I put in on when she goes into her cot and she is sound asleep before the lullaby is finished. When she wakes up in the morning, she switches it on herself and watches the pictures swimming around. She really does love this. I do too, it’s very calming and soothing. Stops you getting a little wound up at bedtime, we all know this can happen at times especially when you have other children plying for your attention.
I would highly recommend this for any baby, it helps get them into a routine and it’s a way to help soothe them if they waken in the middle of the night. It’s also a great distraction, if your baby doesn’t want you to leave the room. It takes 4 AA Batteries, but we’ve used it every night and the batteries are perfectly fine. I think they’ll last a while and at £26.99 I think it’s worth it for a good routine and a good night’s sleep.
