My boys are both huge Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fans. They have several of the turtle figures and even got to meet the real Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles at Nickelodeon Land in Blackpool. Of course they were the real ones. When the Remote Control Shellraiser arrived the boys could not wait to play with it.
It does take 6 AA batteries and requires a Philips head screwdriver to replace them, so make sure you have them to hand when you get this toy. After that it’s all systems go and it’s fun, fun, fun. The TMNT Shellraiser Remote Control vehicle has am easy to use fully functional radio controlled steering with forward-reverse, left-right. The remote also fires the sewer covers via a cannon and can fire up to 10 covers at a time. Very cool. It is also compatible with all the basic figures if you have them already, they can hop aboard the Shellraiser vehicle.
I thought the boys would find it a bit difficult manoeuvring the vehicle with the remote control, but they had no issue at all. They were steering it around corners in the living room and having it firing sewer covers all over the place. They have not stopped playing with this. They are having endless fun putting Turtles in and out of the vehicle and of course firing the sewer covers. The aim is pretty good with the firing cannon and it’s not painful if hit, I have been hit in the ankle and it was fine. The turtles aren’t too keen though, they tend to fall over.
The Turtle Figures can hold onto the door at the back, stand on the roof and go inside the vehicle. I think this toy is a lot of fun, it’s very versatile, well made and sturdy. The fact it is remote control and fires out sewer caps, gives added fun and is used again and again. A great present for any Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle fan.
